Wasn't Presque Isle one of the initial testing locations? Glad our tax dollars were so well spent.
Not sure about he testing. But today they had a countywide search for a drowning victim. Kind of a comedy of errors with the park rangers/lifeguards not being able to talk to any of the outside agencies. Also brought in a state police chopper - no one could talk to it either, so they had to bring in a state trooper just to communicate with it.

I wonder what happened to the link that the PSP chopper used during the Tall Ships several years ago. There was a 453.xxx freq used as a link between Erie County & the PSP Open Scam System. I remember hearing the chopper talking to Millcreek Fire Boat units. If I remember the tower was the one off 6N west of Edinboro (PennDot stockpile). More of our tax dollars flushed down the drain.

So I wonder what the listeners are hearing in Warren County, which is supposed to be testing now? And Erie County is next in the fall.
It is vender testing at this time, 3 sites, 2 in the ne and 1 in dauphin county are online for testing.

But not Warren yet, as per their schedule? So if PA doesn't approve funding, the testing just goes away?

Its funded in different stages, initial funding and a contract with Motorola Solutions is already in place for the phase 1 portion, now it is in vendor testing and Motorola has to prove there system will work.

The comms I hear are all encrypted on the new Sites from Warren. Good signal levels, busy channels. To the point, I locked out that section as it was becoming annoying. I listen to once in awhile when I am bored.
I added 10132 to the system talkgroups last night. I entered it as system testing. But, at this point, it is probably going to be PSP Warren's dispatch channel since they have been live on the system for a few months. If someone could pay attention to the system using Unitrunker or something else on a regular basis and keep an eye on RID's and talkgroups, we may be able to figure this out better.
AFAIK, There are no PEMA or PSP or any other State users on the p26 phase 2 system as of yet. it is still in VENDER testing. of pilot stage 1, only tower techs, and system techs have portables or mobiles, as they test for range, signal strength, reception in and out of buildings ect... PSP units might be getting p25 radios installed in cars and portables / chargers setup, but since the Warren site has yet to be even accepted, I seriously doubt there included in the vender testing. /\/\ solutions at there best...
there running several days behind, but this step should be done by mid july.At that time, if it is accepted and passed, then Warren area PSP units will get to start testing, using the new system.
Then Pilot 2 stage begins, as they build-out and begin vender testing in Erie, Venango and Crawford Counties...
there have been several motorola techs at various tower sites in Dauphin, Lancaster, Berks counties over the last few months.
We have a club meeting this weekend, and will see if some of the guys that are involved, will have any news.
After talking with A few people, it looks like Warren PSP units are testing on the system and Phase 1 of the system will be accepted in the next week or so. Phase 2 will still begin on time.
