I got an email from an indivdual who shall remain nameless. He/she said:

Comments on the thread in reference to the 1801 and 1802...

Unofficially they belong to Frederick county Virginia. They are currently testing a cross patch between SIRN and their legacy VHF Sheriff’s dispatch channel.

You didn’t hear that from me and that’s not official

It's about time they did something like that. Just need to get one for VA State Police. Washington County MD has always had capability to patch to SIRN so that's covered.

I can confirm that these are Frederick County VA. I programmed into another scanner their FD/EMS Dispatch and can hear the same traffic on their VHF freq and TG 1807.

After I originally posted 1806 became active, I have added a screen snip of what RID's have been active on each TG --

Are you hearing any activity on the Beaver Falls Tower??

I have found out Thursday night that they were live and reported it to RR admin. I have been running Unitrunker for days and only have seen a few units join and all have been denied when trying to acces the system. I would say they also are not at full power. Next week we should see them active

Frederick Co VA Fire

I have caught them as well, wrote the TG's down, but can't find them now. Had me wondering with the TG's being so close to Jeff, Berk, Morg.

For over a month talkgroup ID 1802 has been repeated from the Frederick County VA incident ch 7. The fire/EMS in Frederick County still operate on VHF/UHF frequencies and many are repeated. Frederick VA goes into WV (and visa versa) often enough I guess they saw a need for the patches.

In the last week, I heard additional patches, all apparently full time.

1802 Frederick Co VA Fire/EMS ch. 7 (Cross Junction)
1806 Frederick Co VA Fire/EMS ch. 6 (Brown) (Clear Brook)
1807 Frederick Co VA Fire/EMS ch. 1 dispatch

While the Frederick incident channels have repeaters, I find it hard to pick channels 6 & 7 in Winchester, so having them patched into the WV system is nice.

I believe all of the fireground VHF freqs are all simplex. Seems like they dropped the sheriff's office from being patched for right now.

I'm going to add this stuff to the DB. Keep in mind that although it will be under a category for "Frederick County (VA)", it is not going to have geocoords centered on anyplace in Frederick Co VA. This is the WV statewide system, not Virginia. The only purpose of these talkgroups is for interop.

So I'm going to have to choose some WV county to assign to the talkgroup category.

Please debate amongst yourself and then let us know which single WV county should be designated as the county (geolocation wise) for the Frederick Co VA talkgroups. Seems like Fred VA borders on way too many WV counties -- Jefferson, Hampshire, Hardy, Berkeley.

I added the 3 FredVA talkgroups that were submitted. You'll see them under the "Frederick County (VA)" category. That category is set to use "Hampshire County" as the county in the DB. But the geocoords are set to FredVA.

I could be wrong about this, but with it set up this way, any changes made to the WVSIRN system should not cause anything to "go green" over in Frederick Co VA. We want to avoid that.

Welcome. I relabeled them. I received a private message suggesting that some are patches and some may not be patches but direct talkgroups -- and that in the future some patches may turn into actual direct talkgroups.

I left (patch) in the description for now though. If those of you who monitor these talkgroups determine that the radio IDs on any of these talkgroups suddenly increase significantly [suggesting no longer a patch but direct access], please submit that. For now we'll assume (for the sake of the DB) that everything is a patch.

What I've been told is that there are 7 Fire Tacs, a Fire Disp, a Law Disp, and 4 Police Tacs. I haven't been told which Tac corresponds with which geographical area (per the conventional freqs in the Fred VA database). So we'll have to leave that up to you guys to determine those as you note them.

What I've also been told is that the first six Fire Tacs, the Fire Disp and Law Disp, and the four Police Tacs make up TGs 8001-8012 (probably, but not necessarily in that order).
