Lone Tree SIRN Site

FiremanTom informed me that the updated meeting minutes for SIRN for the past couple of months is on their site.

1. The Weirton site equipment is being moved to Lonetree Mtn (Nicholas Co) for the new Summersville site.

the equipment might already be there. that was announced in 8/2017 meeting minutes. Also in hte minutes it was noted that mIcrowave connectivity was already established to that site.

Chad will be happy to know that the new site is nearing completion.

2. Given #1, there isn't a snowballs chance in hades that anybody should expect to see a Weirton site online any time soon.

Mike

Mike I appreciate it. Yes I’m waiting for that one to come online so the Summersville area will have better coverage. Inside source says it should be operational by Winter.

Martinsburg down

It was hit and miss, Dispatchers warned the troops. 8:35 PM. I'm hearing Fire County and State, waiting now to see if Martinsburg will popup.

FYI,
I'm hearing a new talk group here in Williamson (Mingo County) not listed in the database.
It's coming off the Williamson Airport Tower

Talkgroup is 9315,
Two mobiles with the DOT had extensive conversation this evening. Believe one of them lives in Williamson. Probably mobile-to-mobile Talkgroup.

Also hearing 4605 on Williamson Tower. Not listed on Database. Sounds like EMS.

After all of the drama with the Weirton tower, it may never be turned on. State Police and Brooke County
EMA seem to be using SIRN just fine without it. If Brooke County Sheriff can get frequencies they would be using it as well.

TG 1801 showing up on Martinsburg site. No RIDs are being shown. Can't tell who this is yet. Sounds like a sheriff's office or PD.

Believe I heard Martinsburg Pike mentioned on a traffic stop.

I also just heard a call for Morrisons Road with a cross street of Saber Lane. That puts it in the area of Stephenson in Frederick Co. VA. Wonder if it's a patch to their VHF analog repeater.

1801 and 1802 have been in intermittent use since last summer -

No. it wasn't active enough to make a positive id. Attachments from SIRN Newsletters and Meeting Minutes may/or may not have anything to do with 1801 & 1802. Since 1801 & 1802 became active last year I've logged RID's 114098, 97111 and 98205 on 1801 and RID's 114100 and 96097 on 1802, no others. All 3 TG 1801 RID's show online at the time of posting this.
