Update - as of 10 minutes ago, 297.00 MHz is still a good and active frequency with the 167th AW for Galaxy Control (Pikeside). Decoy99 and Galaxy Control were conversing ref engine start for taxi and departure.

This is the third Aircraft I have personally heard talking to Galaxy Control in the past few days.

I have heard absolutely nothing on the other suggested frequencies.

Guys,

I understand from Larry Van Horn at Monitoring Times that 297.0 is longer valid for the 167th AS CP at Martinsburg WVA. He suggests check the following as its replacement Eastern West Virginia Regional (Martinsburg)
229.000 is listed as a 167AS SOF. Also check 297.900 302.300 335.850 MHz for the replacement of 297.000 MHz

Anyone out that way have anything on this?

BLACKJACK 2 reporting to PITBOSS on 157.050 that a black male and female are taking photos of a power plant from the Mount Vernon bike path. He said they had a tripod and the female was taking notes. Maybe he's referring to the power plant in Alexandria? PITBOSS says they will pass along the info.

Watch out for those sketchy photographers!

0700 this morning heard inbound Reach message (missed callsign) on
126.200 with pallet loads and req 50k fuel and follow me truck.
Didn't hear him landing at Phillips AAF either.
Only Reach landing at time was Reach 4129 C-17 into Andrews but
he was on regular CP 378.100 and Reach 5148 C-17 into Dover on CP 349.400.
Anyone else using 126.200 as CP besides KEDG?

Guys,

For the last week or so I've been hearing sporadic comms on 136,275 AM between an acft using callsign 800 and an unheard ground station. I think that 800 may be Homeland Security or DEA.

Has anyone else been hearing anything on this freq?

Was E-4B #73-1677,noticed burning a WBFM freq as well.
any guesses as to my above question?

Mark

Mark,

Only aflds in this area that I know who would be using 126.2 are Weide at Aberdeen and AP Hill in VA. Using that freq it would most likely be one of the Army airfields

Another unusual tidbit had a UPS 1556 flt land at DOV.

AT 1238 also have Altar 74 landing at ADW--sounds like another E-4????

EMPIRE27 ZDC 327.8 > 323.225 They are \G looking for FL410.
1928- Cleared FL350 to FL430
1933- To ZDC Valley 317.7

2000- FAST21 236.825 > 354.8. Has a crappy radio. Got to be an F-15 since the F-22s are grounded.

Mark,

Another possibility is Ft Dix NJ. They are now part of the Joint Base-McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and maybe the Army contingent there is using 126.2 as a CP freq. Just a thought.

Forgot about that.. Will keep freq plugged in main tape rotation here and
see if that pops up again soon.. Had in today and got usual Guard chopper activity
from Weide tower.

I'm about 20 miles northeast of Ft Dix. I'll try putting in 126.2.....Use to have it in years ago but there was never any decent activity on it. As far as I remember, there is no runway there.

the guys have really been hitting Al Qaeda Eastern Shore hard this week. action Tue/Wed/Thur nights till after nine on 140.2, 354.8, 270.8, 288.0. Wed night they used 'discrete' 256.5; used again Thurs, had a buzz to it (both scanners)
Bicep, Smash, Arrow, Top Cat, one time a Bullseye.
heard a reference to a 'GBU-12'. is that a munition?
caught this helo from my yard yesterday.

I'm in Millville, NJ right next to the airport this weekend. On the way up here I saw a Blackhawk and Chinook together heading NE from around I695/I95. I had my computer and box running while on the move. The H-60 was AE182B.

Once into NJ I saw another Chinook heading east. No mode-s. It was a tan one. Not sure if it went to Millville, but there are two on the tarmac right now.

Later on caught TOPCAT5 60-0366 departing on 124.6

1840- Had USCG HH-65C 6591 go by heading towards the coast. No mode-s.
Hearing ZDC on 363.0 perfectly.

1852- TERRA96 00-9001 is heading my way.
1900- Req direct McGuire when able. 124.6

2010- JEDI62 has been flying around low. Just now mentioned NVGs and a drop zone.

1300 local TEXAS 91 149thFW flight of 4 F-16's into Dover AFB area for this Sunday Fed-Ex 400
at Dover Downs.. A/A 140.100 did practice pass West to East over track before landing Dover.
First time heard accompanied by OKIE-91 KC-135 #58-0058 465ARS Tinker also into Dover.
Makes sense for both units of the Air National Guard as race duty doubles as training.
I think this makes about 6-7 years in a row that Texas ANG F-16's have done Dover Spring race.
Wx forecast not looking good though for Sunday.
