Coronet & an interesting C/S

1259Z : BLUE 61 wkg unknowns on 396.200. Possibly a flt x8. Their A2A was 139.800. They were noting Mt. Snow [VT] but I know not their direction of travel.

2119Z : HELA 64 [spelled] wkg KGTB WX on 304.300 with no response [not surprising]. Then KCEF WX on 274.750 looking for current & 2200Z @ KBGR.

Had another Russian plane also into area 2019z.
Rossiya IL-96-300 RA-96019 (157713) came in from Northeast US.
Logged here briefly for 1 minute at 11k showing callsign RSD008.
Ilyushin Il-96 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I logged it 10 minutes later at 4140 to 3590ft. I'm thinking it may be a miscode though. Rossiya's flight IDs are SDM and FV.

Also logged IL-76 VDA6963 heading to Pittsburgh.

2330- Apparently KDCA is closed. MES2485 getting diverted to Dulles. Brazilian Air Force Embraer BRS2582 inbound to somewhere right now too.

BLUE 61 KC-10 79-1711 was taking 4 of the T-BIRDS from Bangor back home to Nellis.
TBIRDS 5 thru 8 after Eurpoean tour.BLUE 61 back to McGuire around 1930z.
The other day BLUE 51 took the first 4 also back to Nellis.

HELA 64 sounds like Navy E-6 #164404 going to Bangor. Navy E-6's always use strange
one time callsigns.Logged passing at FL35k last night here 2050z.

Posting on behalf of mdmonitor1 who is currently unable to access the Thread:

0955 EDT- Speed Racer (unid, prob Sierra Nevada Corp)-on discrete (267.35 FM-analog & encrypted) calling Indian Hole (unid). Speed Racer advises that there are some problems "on the othrt side" so they need to put up the SAT-1 for 11 July. Speed Racer also asks ground unit if "81" is on C-12 or C-4 and if they are getting them on the telemetry.

Any of you with a box have any acft that are assoc with this acty?

Travis,

Thanks for that ident. Looks like they cut their acty short though--didn't hear anything from them for the rest of the day

You will only hear them contacting the ground station a little bit after they've gone airborne. After that they go encrypted on that freq.

Ron,

Re: Firefox - absolutely my pleasure, I've not used IE for years now unless it is absolutely necessary (mainly due to the fact that some sites (or functions on sites) will only work in IE. I think you'll enjoy it...

Online Streams For Mil-Air VHF/UHF??

I seem to be in a grey zone as far as Mil-Air comms go on VHF & UHF here in Palm Harbor, FL. I am a little too far from MacDill AFB to hear anything reliable ad KTPA & KPIE really dont have much other than carrier and general aviation traffic. I enjoy seeing all the great reports here, but it is a bummer that I cant hear any of the activity.

Does anyone offer a stream dedicated to Mil-Air?

Thanks for the extensive list.....I guess I found a new use for an old 895xlt. I will load em up and let you know how I make out.

I appreciate your quick reply,

Vince

Hello Vince,

You might be a bit too far from MacDill for ground comms but airborne AC's should be easy to pick up. Having lived in New Port Richey for nearly 30 years until '05 I listened to AC using the range above Ocala, AC's out of Clearwater Air Station, USCG AC's headed to Miami and Key West and sometimes AC's out of Tyndall headed east and southeast. Check on new frequency list like AirNav, etc. Might want to join Al Stern's MilRadioComms@yahoogroups.com There are several users down there active with weekly listings. Good Luck! PS: Might want to enter 157.150/125 as the USCG helos out of Clearwater use those when doing patrols up to Yankee Town and with the CG Aux units out of Gulf Harbors and Hudson.

Looks like two new consecutive tailed Lakota choppers for Army at KAPG

Maxwell Point is tip of Harford County so that explains what he was talking about.
