In the Lexington area...

794.5875 ... Seems to be some type of control channel for a TRS.

Its not a control channel today. It appears to be MOT. The following talkgroups were active:

Most likely an image, and if it were an active system on that frequency, it would be a mobile/repeater input frequency.
764.xxxx would be the range that the repeater would be found.

Where are you located and hearing this system, Street address and area, and can you do a search on 851-868.9896 and see what you come up with.

I monitored that last night in Versailles.... not strong enough to get any info on it, but it was definitely a Moto CC..... also heard some kind of ecryption on Versailles PD Channel 2...

seems to get weaker the further west I went. Ended up loosing the signal using a Pro 96 around Springfield

I did some quick calculations, not knowing the IF or radios involved, and I get 848.xxx MHz, so it's close. There are two other Nextel systems in the FCC database, and I don't know if they are Motorola Trunked or Nextel Direct Connect, which cannot be monitored.

I wonder if a new Motorola system has come on-line which is causing the image.
The other two not listed is KNRT426 & WPXB658 if anyone cares to check them out.

The frequencies used on WPXB658 also appear on KNRT426. I couldn't find a cc on KNRT426, but I plan to visit the tower site and see what I can find.

WPXB658 is the Nextel (Lexington - 4B33) system.

If the fixed location for KNRT426 is located at 167 W Main St, Lexington, KY, its not active. At least not today from 1500 - 1645. I set up a couple hunderd feet from that address and heard nothing on my HT, however when I was mobile I was picking up very weak signals a few of the feqs.

Just monitored what sounded a lot like Motorola iDen (scroll down some, look for it on the left) on 170.75000.... this was in the vicinity of New Circle and Russell Cave Pike in Lexington at 0915 (25 Jan)... haven't been by the airport to see if Con Air is on the ground.... but it came in 5X5..... except I couldn't understand what was being said (obviously)!

Based upon a recent Federal Arrest in Lexington this could possibly be the U.S. Marshal.... apparently following a fugitive from another state around the area....

the NA International Livestock Show one is new--will definitely have to monitor that later in the year. Based on its location, I'm willing to bet it's going to be used for emergency traffic primarily (most other sites using that frequency seem to be inputs for emergency services sites; the closest to Jefferson County is Floyd County E911).

Did monitor the Churchill Downs freqs, but all the traffic I was able to pick up was from the 800MHz freqs for CD.

Monitored this morning in Lexington.... the read-out says it is a 3600 CC... no system id, tho...
(I tried the "correct" freq-764.5875-just in case.... nothing there, just on the normal input freq, this is gonna be a strange system!)
