Regarding Lake County's recent switch to the system,

Can anyone confirm if the Talkgroups listed for Waukegan and Gurnee PD are correct? From what I understand, the Dispatch TGs are secure and the "car 2 car"/F2s are clear?

OK, added TG 3886 to the Radio Refeerence SC21database as Northbrook PD Dispatch. Since we don't know what the other talkgroups are used for yet, I've added them to the SC21 Wiki unidentified talkgroups page IL-STARCOM21-Talkgroups - The RadioReference Wiki . I've been running Pro96Com on T149 for a few days now and have noted 116xxx RIDs affiliating with all talkgroups between 3887 and 3895, so keep your ears open. IMHO, hard to believe that all nine of these talkgroups would all be used by Northbrook PD alone, perhaps other NORCOMM agencies will switch to SC21 as well?

Union

McHenry city police dispatch now dispatching Morengo on 3451. McHenry police dispatch now dispatches Johansburgh, McHenry city, McCullom Lake and now Morengo police.

Town of Union now on NERCOMM, alias McHenry city dispatch noted last night and today. I believe we are waiting on Woodstock and Harvard to join in.

i have a p25 set up , and am capable of both phase I and phase II, just cant get NWCD FD2, but can get FD1 and FD3 , hmmm ? any ideas, are the talk groups right for FD2, i got them on here under the Starcom21 section ?

Last two days NWCD fire now running the TDMA flavor.

Yeah. NWCD Fire 2 talkgroup 2752 does that sometimes where even the automated dispatch voice BLASTS on the air in Phase II. It's a hard receive on a ducky with all the Simulcast antennas everywhere here. If you have a phase 1 scanner? you'll not hear anything when they do that. Same thing with all the Fireground talkgroups. Those are almost always in Phase II now. I've heard them in Phase 1 here and there over the last year though.

i have a phase two capable system wonder whats up i have ot set on tdma and its still not coming thru i think they switched talk groups and ideas what that is ?

This is not in regard to Northbrook but I had some notes I want to share regarding Sangamon County and IDOT. Talkgroup 4935 is Starcom Tac. This talkgroup is used for traffic detail every once in awhile. Like distracted driving detail. Chatham Police has been in the clear recently. University Illinois Springfield Police has been testing radio coverage of Starcom21 around the campus. Talkgroup 4478 for IDOT district 4 is ID as Peoria Com Center. A Sangamon County unit ID talkgroup 4935.

Fireground Red is a conventional channel, and statewide. 153.830mhz. 69.3 tone. 73, n9zas

The rest of the IDoT talkgroups seem to be "statewide" but you'll only be able to hear them if a radio is affiliated with a tower you're listening to

Northbrook PD

Last transmission Northbrook PD was this past weekend and a unit reported out of range on radio, well due to adopted name Mayberry, hardly much traffic from this town, Northbrook is now back on 470.9626. I also noted prior to the last communication from Northbrook PD they were not transmitting on tower 115 at this time as radio traffic was also on the Lake county SC21 tower.
