if you’re not hearing nixa or Ozark you may need to check your ptoamming. I went through a week ago with no problem on the DMR system. You’re not going to hear anything on the 700 sites for some time. I don’t beleive any buildout has begun yet.

Shouldn't be my programming, I haven't touched it for three years...Its on a Whistler TX-1.
I will do further research and see where they are hiding. 🤔

Yes, the Washington site is one of many sites MSHP, Troop C uses on MOSWIN. Note...if that is the only site you program you may miss radio transmissions if a trooper is too far away to acclimate???? to the Washington site. I am sure there is another name for it.

Here's a little more info:
When the ARPA-funded Jeff City/Cole County Simo comes on, it will join Zone 1.
The Christian County 700MHz new Simo system is under construction now and will join MOSWIN as site 3 in Zone 4.
Also, there is top-level MOSWIN discussion to split Zone 3 into Zone 3 & 5.
Not sure when.

Funny I live in Springfield and use a trx-2 and it's almost non stop on dmr.
I use a 996 for the p25 traffic.

I programmed all of Christian Co.
Use a mobile antenna in my house.

Far as I know for now its just traffic on the call tg to Springfield. For requesting assistance.

New TG for St Louis City???

I am hearing TG 10140 in the city District 4 police. Non enc. Been hearing it for a few hours now. I don't want to say some traffic in the city is non enc and get in trouble. The TG looks to be related to the park police in the city. Not sure. Take a listen if you want.
Check out www.openmhz.com they have all of the city of St. Louis talk groups, several they say are 99% encrypted but I hear them talk on it all the time.

You can hear SLMPD off and on in the clear. Not a lot but sometimes enough to bring back memories if you are older like me. For a few days straight a month or two ago you could hear certain district in the clear for hours. Mostly dispatchers clear with officers still enc. You can always keep the districts programmed just in case.

I can receive both Imperial and the STL City simulcast site for Troop C, but not Weldon Spring. Am I correct in thinking to program both sites to hear as much traffic as possible? Or would either site suffice for the metro and surroundings?

Depending on your location. I forgot where you listen. It will not harm anything at all if you program a few extra nearby sites to expand your listening enjoyment. I live in SW St Louis city and can hear only three MOSWIN sites due to my low elevation. The city's simulcast, Weldon Spring and Imperial. But because of how trunked systems work I can hear troopers talk in almost every county south of the city and a bit less up north.

Amazing really because when I am in Laclede Co scanning on a good day I can monitor almost 14 sites in surrounding counties.

Good luck.
