I might add that the map I mentioned above not only lists all AEP 800 mhz trunked licenses in its service areas, but it also lists the callsigns and frequencies associated with the FCC licenses. So if you are just looking at the map and are wondering what frequency you might find a P25 signal on if a site is online in your area, all of the frequencies are listed there to test.

Out of my range to verify but it looks like Canton and New Philadelphia should be 1F6. I saw a few last night that had switched from 002.

The DB is correct for those sites. I know, it doesn't make any sense, but in the end I'm thinking there will probably either 002 or 1F6 and all the sites will use that. If they are switching at all, they have been switching from 1F6 to 002. I monitor New Phila almost daily, and it's correct. Canton was just verified a day ago. The last six sites that came online showed up as isolated / unconnected sites in neighbor lists of other sites over a year ago -- and then disappeared. So I suspect those sites had already been configured for some time and that they just recently were installed and turned on, whihc woudl explain them still being 1F6. To the techs, it's probably a trivial thing to them -- which is probably why we have a mishmash of 1F6 and 002 surrounded by each other -- which on a live system wouldn't make sense.

There is some P25 subscriber radio traffic., but not a ton. The EDACS talkgroups are, as one would guess, patched over to P25. What I've been told by somebody who has a buddy who works at AEP Steub is that they switch back and forth between EDACS and P25 depending on which is performing better for them, but that they do use P25. Many of the local fleet have the multiprotocol radios and profiles for both EDACS and P25 in their radios and can apaprently switch very quickly if they are having difficult with coverage when on P25.

I got lucky today, I had to take my kid to a birthday party in Perry Co. The road the party was on just happened to have great elevation and view of the horizon. This was all captured right in the area of the MARCS Linnville site.

I have 81 in my DSD as Zaleski, if that is accurate that is quite the shot

It's there brother. You just have to select the box on your left for TX for them to show up.

Crap, I am going to DFW area and they dont have sites there. Maybe my boss will understand the car rental millage if I explain I was mapping the system in TX.

Haha. Well, you deserve a break. My niece's husband travels a lot, and he really likes the DFW area -- and Austin when he can get there.

Below is the list of sites that are likely online (but nobody has confirmed them directly). I left out Canton SE and Adena since we monitor them over here in East Ohio and they aren't online yet. The "c" designator next to the frequency indicates the last known control channel. But any of the frequencies listed could have a P25 control channel.

If you can confirm any of these sites online (WACN: 92715, SYSID of 002 or 1F6) please include all information that you can gather.

* WACN/SYSID: at minimum
* Current Control Channel: at minimum
* Alternate Control Channels
* Site NAC
* Neighbor List (including frequencies tied to each neighbor)

If you are running something other than DSDPlus you won't be able to get the frequencies associated with the neighbors. If you are running something other than DSDPlus or Unitrunker you probably can only get the WACN/SYSID and current control channel (and possibly the NAC)
