I think we are forgetting that these filters are for high noise/intermod areas if you are in the boonies it may not be an issue

That's been my experience so far in the boonies of rural northern New Mexico, WX4JCS.

I haven't detected any significant differences between the filter settings . . . with the possible exception that "inverted" may slightly improve reception of some of the weaker, conventional signals I'm trying to monitor, and even that is very subtle. The new capability will most likely come in handy when I find myself in downtown Denver or Las Vegas.

Thanks, nonetheless, to Paul and the crew at Uniden! This has been fun, and I'll continue to experiment.

Normal seems the best for my 700/800 p25 trs.
Invert seems the better choice for convent vhf/uhf analog/dig.

The past week on the new FW with the filter settings seems Provoice seems not decode well. I've tried all settings the db can be -60 - -110 audio breaks up sometimes the control channel goes away. I've tried moving the radio around gets worse in some spots than others.

If I put off than the Control Channel goes away. This is on the RS 800 antenna

My first thought is the control channel frequency has changed, or possibly system was changed from Provoice to some thing else? I'd set up a new system in conventional mode and confirm the frequencies and control channel are still Provoice. Since it's February 1st, maybe some changes took place? Anyone on local forums confirm your information?

All LCNs are correct and still provoice. I have to mess with it more see what is going on.

@UPMan how to effectiveley report bugs in the stable official firmware?
I have report from SDS100 Main 1.07.04 and sub 1.02.00 with all upgrades unlocked.
When radio receives Provoice (encrypted) call on EDACS system it is stuck on that call despite the transmission stopped and wont scan the system. It shows the call as individual call with the same ID being the originator of the call and the target.

can we put up some issue tracker ? Have no idea why Uniden doesnt have this basic tools to categorize, agregate reports and make the development much easier. Support is useless in this kinds of issues.

Where is documentation of new functionality ?

Why the Twiki is such a mess and full of dead links? Where is that page where firmware updates were neatly listed, had links to the files and full description? What is happening with Uniden? I would be glad to dedicate my time to make it more professional and user friendly FOR FREE just please let me contribute to that.

Please let me help you end this mess this is a shame. If you were 10 person-big company this could be understandable, but you are not I assume. Even small companies start simple github issue tracker with simple rules and some moderators enforcing them making development and bug fixing very easy and fast.

Don't be obtuse, use was explained adjacent to the the quoted statement. How it works is often proprietary. Has your cell phone manufacturer explained how your phone works? No, but they will explain how to use it.
