MARCS-IP ("New MARCS") Site and Talkgroup Discussion

Traffic heard on TG 5523 (wildcard hit) at around 0615.

Engine 2: blah blah blah.

Lima PD/FD dispatcher: Engine 2, check your band.

This TG is within the range of Lima/Allen County TGs and it is obviously programmed into Lima Fire Department's radios so further listening is required to identify it.

I wonder if this could be XLIMA TAC, an interop TG for Lima PD and Lima FD use.

Yeah, and the problem is compounded by the noisy environment that firefighters work in.

Probably Guernsey Co agency, less likely to be Sheriff since Sheriff talkgroups are usully in the 54xxx range - but could be sheriff. Probably a fire or EMS talkgroup.

11545 was fire/ems discussing a head on crash. One rid had been on 11501 just before with scene size up.

Clinton County, heard on Greene County simulcast.

If you scan in search mode you should at least hear DRC (corrections) in Belmont County. Have you tried all the nearby sites?
