MARCS-IP ("New MARCS") Site and Talkgroup Discussion

13543 ID as Tac-1, one RID matched GCRTA PD so possible CLE RTA TAC-1

I've noted hits (just a few) with RTA RID's on 13527 & 13543. I haven't heard or seen enough traffic to make a determination.

I have both TG's set with alerts.

Had a new Talkgroup 50792 using DSDplus monitoring the Morristown site , It is encrypted so no voice heard.

Checked database , nothing found.

28507 - Ambulance service somewhere. Ostensibly it's based in Licking County based on the talkgroup number and radio IDs, but most of the locations I've heard are in the Medina area. Some time ago I heard what I thought were some Courtesy Ambulance units talking on it, so maybe they've expanded, or they're dispatching some other company.

I am hearing traffic for medic 1 medic 2 and medic 7 Hospital stops of Medina and southwest general. Locations in Brunswick and Medina. Only ambulance carrier I could find in that area that may make sense would be Carlson out of Brunswick

TG 51689 Kirkwood tower:
This channel falls in the range of OSHP assignments and I have never heard it before now but tonight I was hearing some very immature and unprofessional communications between a male and a female.
Among their non social comms I heard one of them mention a local St. Clairsville area bar known for occasional trouble and It otherwise appears that they are conducting surveillance and may be just be bored...

Could this possibly be an OIU regional or tac channel...? I used to hear activity from the OIU Athens TG on MARCS 3.5

Some units ID as "Youngstown" and all are calling in to "Base". Any ideas?

Cuyahoga IDs would be 18xxxxx. 92xxxxx IDs are Ohio DRC, so it's likely a state facility somewhere.

I added this to my scanner this morning and no hits. I seriously doubt that this is the Cuyahoga County Jail because the Cuy Co Sheriff is on the GCRCN. The jail is still using the same system that was updated back in the 90's.

I highly doubt this is ODOT. There are no unknown ODOT TGs. 93XXXXX IDs could be any state agency besides DNR, OSP, and DRC.

I added this to my scanner this morning and no hits. I seriously doubt that this is the Cuyahoga County Jail because the Cuy Co Sheriff is on the GCRCN. The jail is still using the same system that was updated back in the 90's.

Granted there is not much traffic but when there is I have heard CCS referred to frequently (Cuyahoga County Sheriff?). Other option would be the Euclid jail. I have only heard it on the Cuyhaoga Site which is sometime hit and miss for me with the decode.

I heard the same traffic Mylan , Though maybe it was a talk around channel of some kind was quite the conversation untill one of them wised up and said "nevermind this is capable of being monitored".

Caught today, 51614(enc). Off the dayton site. Radio id's were 57xxxxx and 99xxxxxx. I thought talk groups that started with 51xxxxx were osp, and osp radio id's were 90xxxxxx. Maybe a patch talk group or maybe a state agency working with montgomery county sheriff units?
