Removed from MPSCS???
I was just on MPSCS Macomb County 50 Warren, it's working just fine Warren police and fire are both here.
We have received information from more than one source that Lapeer and St. Clair Counties, are planning to encrypt all public safety talkgroups on the MPSCS. Apparently, this is being done for safety concerns for first responders. Does anyone know when this move is planned to take effect?

Based on a guess based on accent of dispatcher on ( Current / Old ) DMR system I'm going with Spectrum Health. They have facilities outside of Grand Rapids and based on 11801 TG traffic sounds like Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
I've been hearing some encryption on Fenton Police Dispatch. So far it's limited use, but I'm sure that will change.
Obviously they were testing, because yes, they are in the clear or it's just starting to roll out.
Just today:
0136hrs 25P911S rid 9254354 encrypted
2226hrs 393P911 rid 9254590 encrypted
1831hrs 25P911S rid 9254572 encrypyed
You're ok for now, but these are the last days before Genesee goes dark.
There's been comfirmed encryption logged recently on all three of those TGs.
Pro-Comm likely received the final template back and has began programming the new radios.
You might not like it, but the last days of Genesee County monitoring are upon us.
To me it's all still unconfirmed rumors. I'll believe it when I hear it myself.
That's fine. It's been in the works for a while and is currently nearing roll out.
I'm checking with the dispatcher in Richmond who is a personal friend of mine. He usually gets clued in on changes well in advance. Some things he can disclose, some he can't.
