The Radio ID's are in that range? If so, that has been the CPD series Radio ID's in the past. What 5500 series talkgrouos have logged activity?

Add another Water Department talk group: 4016 (P25/Phase2). I thought I heard reference to "Chemical-2 channel".

Also heard on talk group 4018: "Control, keep them on the queue". This was still (P25/Phase1). I've yet to hear any references to Emergency crews/water main breaks etc., but it would appear Water Management is slowly coming on line.

Found this organizational chart which might better explain how talk groups are mapping out: https://www.chicago.gov/content/dam/city/depts/water/OrgChrtDWM20130201.pdf

TGID 4022 (P25/Phase 2) can be added as a Water Department talkgroup, in use this morning.

Department of Water Management appears to have a large block of talk groups on this system. At least 4001-4022 so far confirmed. Radio ID's have all been in the 415xxxx and 475xxxx range.

The specialized units have been encrypted for a few years now. The radios have all been reprogrammed for the upcoming change over to encrypted Zones and Citywides. They now have a Zone in the radios which allow them to switch over to the encrypted Zones.

As of today, Zones and Citywides are not encrypted and still on the analog system.

His unit is mostly on CW 6 normally.. He says only a matter of time before they change.. days weeks or months.

As this incident was going on, the offender was ranting on EMS Main (hey, he told them he was going to St. Louis, so they should have listened..LOL) . Eventually an announcement was made for all ambulance companies to switch your green portables (8000's) to EMS 800 Zone , where normal dispatch traffic continued. This Zone is only available on the portables, not the apparatus radios.

As with the FD 800 Zone, the OEMC was patched as no Radio ID's were being displayed. EMS North TGID 1021 was in use temporarily until he was out of radio range.

Within the past couple of weeks, EMS companies were reporting to their respective Field Divisions for radio swap out. It appears the canary radios are replaced by the green APX8000's.

All of this information is from logging Radio ID's on the current system programmed as a One Frequency Trunk. Their might be some variations and/or errors during programming, so don't kill the poster..LOL! I've seen many of these Radio ID's being tested on the FD800 & EMS800 Zones, so the Radio ID's are the same.

I figured but didn't see that TG recorded in the database

Yes...a few weren't added, but as you probably know 4001-4025 is in use by the Water Department. Filtration Plant operations, and Pump Stations is all I've heard. No "emergency" or "construction" related traffic so far.

I've also heard traffic on TGID 7002 (P25/Phase2) in the clear with RID's in the 705xxx range. The conversations seemed to revolve around housing issues, so possibly the Department of Human Resources?
