Thanks. That has been added with no change in status.

I would power cycle the scanner and verify the scanner IP address is the same entered in ProScan? Is the data side working indicated by the virtual display coming to life. Perhaps check that the Wi-Fi dongle has the latest firmware.

Numerous power cycles have been performed, IP is correct, display data is functioning, all firmware at latest revision, windows firewall off.

Is there a way to have ProScan 10.0 record just one system while scanning multiple systems? I want to have just MPSCS to record, but not any of my local systems.
I have a BCD536HP.

Probably not on the BCD536HP. For a workaround, you could prepend a %S (System/Site) custom formatter to the folder or file name in the Recording Options. Click the File Name column header to sort by File Name then delete the systems you don't want to keep.

That was it, sorry for being a dumbass. The au threw me off thinking that was an example of a remote scanner URL from Australia and the colon, well, I'm just blind.

Thanks very much!

I maintain a History Log.txt file (the 3rd option in the logging menu) elsewhere on my PC HD. Prior to the last ProScan updates and mini updates in January 2016 I was logging UIDs in this file also. Now I notice that since 1/11/16 UIDs aren't being logged in this file anymore. The BCD996XT is set to displays UIDs and does so they are being logged in the History / UID logging screens so that is working properly.
Is there anyway that I can get ProScan to once again log the UIDs in the History Log.txt file?

Thanks in advance.

BCD436HP -- how to push scroll control

My apologies if this is a dumb question ... I *did* search first!

Just got a BCD436HP, and I'm looking at ProScan since I really want remote control. So far I like it ... but one thing I cannot figure out is how to "press" the scroll control (ie the knob on top). What am I missing?

I think it's something with the BCD996P2. I did a little testing. After computer reboot the Win Device Manager shows the Uniden Serial Port working however data doesn't transfer. Power cycling the scanner seems to fix it.
Hi Bob! Can it be fixed on ProScan side? It's really annoying.

Also I want to have UID file relocation setting away from program dir and possibility to enter "_" sign from keyboard. Underscore can be copypasted from any external app, but cannot be entered directly in ProScan. It works fine with all scanners from BCT15 to BCD996P2.

I'll look into the UID's not logging to the History Log.txt before the next release.

Okay I have looked through this long tread and I can't find an answer to my problem. Sorry if this is a duplicate question but I am unable to connect to remote control. I have everything else working like Web Sever but when I attempt to connect to the Remote control over IP (even from the computer its running on) eventually the connection times out and never connects. I have tried multiple web browsers and ports with no luck. Any suggestions on what to check next would be appreciated. Thanks much

Have you downloaded the remote client? Is this happening from inside your network or outside your network. I do not think you can run the client on the same PC as the server is running on. This has to be done on 2 different PC's. Have you checked your firewall settings on the server PC. What version of Windows are you running on the Server PC.

Web Browsers works with the Web Server feature and not the Remote Scanner Over IP feature . For the Remote Scanner Over IP feature, You will need another ProScan running in Remote Scanner Over IP Client mode (for remote control) or the Free Client software (for monitoring only and not remote control).

Actually another ProScan instance can run on the same PC with one instance in the server mode and the other client mode. Each instance needs to be in separate folders.

Proscan Question

So I am new to this after receiving a BCD325P2 as a gift, I have now signed up on here as a member and downloaded Proscan. I mostly want to pick up ATC and EMS radios. Columbus OH has converted to a P25 and trunked system. When I go to ProScan and try to record audio, do I have to have a separate audio cord besides the USB scanner cord? Ie a patch cord (double ended male). Or can I just use it via the usb cord? Its so much less cumbersome with only one cord!

I am currently only using ProScan as a demo, playing around with adding channels and recording for later reviewing. I am feeling slightly overwhelmed and the Uniden manual is not very helpful. However, I was pleased at how easy it was to program all the Rail, ATC, and County Public Service/Safety Radios.

Cheers and thanks for any/all help

Yes to record audio on your 325P2 you need to go from headphone out on the scanner to the mike or line in on your computer running proscan and setup proscan to get the audio clear and loud and you will hear the scanner audio through the computer speakers.

Thanks buddrousa! I just got it working that way. I just end up recording 4-10 sec files with static, and then some ones will have decent audio. Columbus has a lot of channels that were easily pulled in via the program. But is it better to have only a few channels for quicker scan times or just add them all and let ProScan record them? Any thoughts?

Quite a few of the recordings are of 4 second static bursts, and I hope I'm not missing good audio because its recording a static burst

Thanks again

I am running proscan 4 times on 4 different scanners with usb sound cards all on the same computer and the best thing is it only takes 1 lic of the 2 you get. The PC is a dell xeon quad core with 8 gigs of ram win 7 pro.
