Version 12.6 I'm having an issue where the virtual scanner window when using scanner only view mode re positions itself out of frame/border after cycling though other windows/programs.

J

I'll look at this before the next release.

I get this also. For me, clicking view, then clicking on "scanner only" seems to reset it.

New Hard Drive Install

Hello

I have a new larger Hard Drive coming and would like to keep my ProScan Configuration if possible. If I do this

Just copy the ProScan.exe, all dll files, & ProScan_Manual.pdf files to a new folder
If you want the same options then copy ProScan.cfg file to the new folder. Post #2969

and then install ProScan into that folder will I be "good"

Thanks Andy

The ProScan.cfg file contains the config so you want to copy that one along with the exe and dll files. It also depends on if you want to retain the Logging, Recordings, Broadcast Lockout for streaming, etc. I would copy the whole folder to the new drive to be safe.

I can't duplicate this problem. Can you send me an email so I can send you the latest for testing this problem.

You rock!

How do you specify that you want to change the Alert Light parameter? Does the Replace With dropdown just have a really long list of parameters? Wouldn't it be easier to have separate "Find What" and "Replace" parameter dropdowns, especially if the Replace item involved free text?

This is why I prefer suggestions(and bugs) via email so I could work on making it perfect.

Request / Suggestion Guidelines

If you have suggestions, they can be sent via email or RadioReference. The advantage of email is I can ask additional questions to make sure the suggestion is done right and send you the latest ProScan file with the suggestion implemented.

Something like this:
https://1drv.ms/i/s!ApJIS-l4xqPtgulC7JFqxebC4g45ww

but with the parameter boxes labeled "Find Parameter" and "Replace Parameter" respectively, and maybe a Sync Parameters check box so that when checked, if you change the Find parameter, the Replace parameter changes with it (and vice versa)

And if you want to continue via email that is fine.

It looks like a whole redesign that could take a month and push back the next release plus I plan on doing other things the next couple of months. I have another solution.
{edit} I think it wouldn't be better but more confusing.

ProScan Version 12.7

The major change in this version is the Web Server push data method for faster updates. An option on the Web Page defaults to Push and can be changed back to Polling if any problems appear.

What's New In Version 12.7
  • Fixed - RSOIP Published Servers Country field not looking up State/Province.
  • Fixed - DMR Conventional Networked systems wasn't importing from RRDB as DMR One Frequency system type.
  • Fixed - Google Maps not displaying Rectangles correctly for the BCDx36HP scanners.
  • Fixed - Google Maps JavaScript errors if system name contained quotes.
  • Fixed - Detached scanner window wasn't centering correctly.
  • Added - Database Lockout Frequencies and Talk Groups now showing the counts.
  • Added - Web Server - Option to Push the data to the Web Page verses the original Polling method for faster updates.
  • Added - Find & Replace - Change Alert Color based on Service Type on BCDx36HP scanners.
  • Many more small improvements.

ProScan supports the BCT15, BCT15X, BC250D, BC296D, BR330T, BC346XT, BC346XTC, BCD325P2, BCD396T, BCD396XT, BCD436HP, BCD536HP, BC780XLT, BC785D, BC796D, BCD996T, BCD996XT, & BCD996P2 scanners.

Thank You for your dedication to this program and making it “in my opinion” the BEST software available for the scanners it supports.

12.6 is the latest released. It's fixed and will be in the next release.

Same issue in 12.7. Imported DMR single freq trunk system
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=9779

Imported system from RR into ProScan 12.7 then wrote to the 436HP and wouldn't track.

Then I imported that system into Sentinel via exported hpe file from ProScan 12.7 the system type shows P25 Trunk in Sentinel 1.07 R5.

Thanks
J

Okay thanks, I just tested. It's not the same issue but will be fixed in the next release. It imported as a DMR One-Freq system but exported as a P25 system.

{edit} I did some further testing. It exported as a DMR One-Freq system just fine so I don't see what the problem is.

{edit again} Found the problem, The export system type is "DMR One-Freq Trunk" It should be "DmrOneFrequency" Will be fixed in next version.

It's all fixed. Will be in the next release. The reason the scanner didn't track is because it didn't recognize "DMR One-Freq Trunk" which is more of the friendly name. The system type in the file is named "DmrOneFrequency""

Im having an Audio issue with web server or Live View “Whatever its called”. The Audio does not match the screen and the “Listen Live” resets after pressing play. Kinda seems its only playing a file rather a stream.

On the audio not matching the screen, Adjust the Metadata Delay option on the Web Page to about 20 or 30 seconds. You may have to play with it to get it in sync with the media player. That option was added a few versions ago because the metadata on the screen was real time and the audio gets delayed by the media players.

Clicking the Listen Live link will server a m3u file (just like Icecast and Broadcastify servers).
Inside the m3u file is the link to the stream.

Hits?

Can't seem to get two things to work. When watching History Logging on my BC780XLT, I sort by "Hits" ... but this doesn't stay in order. Seems to me if it's sorted by hits, it should stay in that order. As it is, every once in a while I need to click (twice) on the Hits column header to re-sort by the number of hits. Second, and related, is that the "Reset Hit Counter" button appears to have no effect on the numbers in the Hits column.

I have not, but will, test with my BCD436HP to see if there is any difference.

Current version of W10 and current version of ProScan.

Do you have it setup by active row in view or each transmission new row?
