ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Updated from 4.0 to 4.1 last night and a crash this evening. It appears to have dumped my config file. Besides proscan.cfg what else needs to be restored? All my Scancast/web settings are wiped

Not going to help you now, but in the future you might want to copy the folder before updating.

I updated to 4.0 then 4.1 without any issues.

When did the "Function Hold" go away for the 396XT?

My backups are in real time so I have many copies of the folder. Something isn't restoring for some reason within the backup. Could have been an in-use files or something I suppose. Windows 7 locks files differently

4.1.0 on Windows 7

I have ProScan 4.1.0 running on Windows 7 and I am getting disconnected and the only way I know is because I get an email alert from Radio Reference. When I check the ScanCast status log there is no indication that it has disconnected. I have to manually disconnect and then re-connect to get it working again. Its happened twice so far in the last two days. I have the auto reconnect selected. Any ideas?

Also, the ProScan display will freeze on one frequency every now and them. In order to fix this I have to restart the program.

Should I have installed it in Windows Vista or XP compatability mode?

Thanks,
Mike

In v4.1.0, The metadata doesn't appear to get to the client as the audio comes in (very delayed) and sometimes not at all if the transmission is short. Broadcasting at 16kbps (Samples at 22050)....Any Idea why?

On the disconnects, ProScan looks for tcp/ip breaks. I will add another check, checking the proper answerback response from IceCast(RadioReference) servers. It will be ready in two weeks after I finsih the current task. Email me and I will send you a test file when ready.
Put "TASK #4.2-2" in the subject line.

What's the media player you're using?

For a test
1) Measure the delay after the ProScan ScanCast and the media player has been running for a while maybe 24 hours.
2) Unload the media player and restart the media player then measure the delay again.

If you will email me, I can send you test files when I'm ready. Put "TASK #4.2-5" in the subject line.

I've got the ver 4.1.0 running and am having trouble with the radio ID logging on the 396XT. It will log ID's in the proper column but it is incomplete from what the radio's or the Virtual Control screen shows, it appears to be dropping off one or two of the numbers. Any ideas/

Can you give me an example:
What does the scanner show? What does the ProScan column show?

Low Audio Input to Scanner Over IP

I'm running the trial version v 4.1.0 Pro.

I am feeding the scanner audio into the Line-In input of my SB Live sound card. Input it working ok as I am able to hear the audio perfectly on the PC speakers.

When I go to Audio Control for Remote Scanner Over IP the audio level is so low you can't hear anything. For some reason the Line-In is extremely low to the ProScan software. I have the sliders set to MAX on the settings page, but the sound bars barely move.

I have Input Sound Device set to "SB Live! Wave Device" and mixer volume for Line-In at max setting.

As for the client connection it connects ok, but with little or no audio since the audio input doesn't seem to be working right.

Any suggestions from someone who might have had a similar problem? I'm running on Windows XP sp3.
