ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Anyone have issues with Recording or Uploading with a BCD996XT with the latest firmware version 1.04.00? I've tried 2.0 to 3.9.3 versions of Proscan and cannot get it to record or upload. The display and the display faceplate function. I have tried all the setting with Record Mark Channels, ALL Channels, etc. Before the firmware update I was able to record but not upload. Even with the older versions back to 2.0, I would just select 996T for recording. It appears there is an issue with the firmware update.

I will be releasing 4.0 with the official 996XT and 15X support this Friday so I will give this the highest priority.

I need more info on these issues.

On the record issue: Are you using the the Activity or VOX mode?
Does the grid row turn red in color when recording? Does the recording file get created in the folder? Is this an audio issue?

On the upload: Do you get any pop up messages? Does the upload appear to upload? Does any errors show? Can you download?

Is the ProScan scanner type set to 996XT?

Email me with the answers so I can figure out where to start and I will send you test files to get this figured out.

I use the Web Server and stream to an App called FStream. Works perfect and even streams the tags!

One quick question that with a problem I have been having. After ProScan has been running for 12 or so hours the program just closes after any use. Just clicking the scanner closes the program. This isn't new to this release(4.0) and only on one(996XT) of my two radios running.

Currently on win7 and Vista had the same issue too. Has anyone else seen this happen?

TU Bob for the quick help yesterday getting my ProScan registered. Heads up, I have an apostrophe in my last name, so that threw off the key generator. 4.0.0 is up and running and working well from what I can see. This is by far the best of the 4-5 software programs I've been using the past month on my BCT15X.

I do have one question/wish. I've looked back through the previous pages and manual, but don't see any keyboard controls? Am I missing something? (Vista 32 bit) I'd like to be able to Hold or Resume scanning by hitting the Space key or Enter key. I'm running duel monitors, so maybe it's something I'm doing? Another on my wish list would be an expandable Scanner control window, so I can see the scanner from across the room.

Great software that I'm just digging into, so I hope I don't drive everyone nuts with ?'s. Now I need to look at setting up the Remote Scanner over IP.

I didn't reply earlier, waiting for anyone else to pipe in with the same problem. I will keep this in mind and will look at it.

Is that clicking the virtual scanner only. Clicking outside of the virtual scanner is ok? What type of View "Normal", Scanner Only"?

For troubleshooting purposes Uncheck the option "History & Frequency / TGID Logs To Grids" and set the audio "Input Sound Device to None on the Web Server, ScanCast, Remote Scanner Over IP, and Recorder.

If anyone is experencing this problem let me know so I can look for a pattern or cause.

Yes this is only in the virtual scanner only. The the view mode is normally at scanner only then clicking normal display mode is when it disappears.

If I can add a small request, how about a mute button on the client?
