ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Bob, My apologies for thinking something was amiss with Proscan.

I went to the Uniden Tech Support Forum on RR. They said, what I have encountered. Is not uncommon with P2 systems. Where, If it is not at the beginning of the transmission, that the scanner(UBCD325p2). Will only have the name of the System. No Groups and Channels.

What doctordialtone posted in that thread was misleading. Go back and read my reply to him.

I'm not really clear on what exactly the problem is that you're trying to describe.

Okay I think I see what you're getting at based on your screenshot. Sometimes it shows the Group/Channel after the System name, other times it does not. This seems to happen on the same talkgroup, 16500, for example.

This could be a programming issue. If the scanner stops on a system that doesn't have the talkgroups aliased, it will not show the Group/Channel, only the raw TGID. Do you by any chance have the same system programmed twice, once with aliases, once without?

I ran the 'Duplicates' in Proscan. I don't have duplicates. All the TG's in my scanner, are from RR, via Proscan.

I'm not talking about duplicate talkgroups, I'm talking about duplicate systems/sites. If you are scanning two instances of the same system/site, one with talkgroups and one without, that could produce the behavior you're seeing.

Perhaps you should just post up your programming for someone to look at so we can try to cut right to the chase, instead of playing cat and mouse in two different threads. I would suggest reading the programming in the scanner and posting that, to eliminate any mismatch between what you have in ProScan vs what is actually programmed in the hardware.

Ah. I don't have any duplicate systems. While I understand what you mean. About system/site duplicates causing 'data confusion'. I don't have duplicates. Because, I keep Conventional n' TG Systems separate, by consistently specific name patterns. So I know which is which. I also use the 'duplicates' utility often.

I checked the activity in Proscan from while I was asleep last night. It is still doing the same thing. Where on P25 systems, only the System/Site shows up sometimes, without the Group and Channel. Other times, everything(System/Site-Group-TGID) shows up.

But it is a relief to know. It is not a HW(UBCD325p2), or SW(Proscan) issue.

Recorder Grid Behavior question. BCT15X, conventional only.

Please help me understand why when some channels record, it jumps to top of grid in red then drops totally out of sight, not even in the day's list. But, for others, when traffic is recorded that channel stays at top of list. I have grid sorted on 'end date/time'.

Is there a setting to fix that?

Are the recordings less than 2 seconds in duration and do you have the option "Delete < 2 Seconds Recording Entries From Grid And File" set?

I have encountered an issue and maybe someone can explain the behavior I am seeing... I had to reinstall Windows 10 after a partition corruption issue.. I have reinstalled Proscan and got it working
; but I have spent an inordinate amount of time getting the audio streaming to work... I did all the things one is supposed to do... The TCP and UDP connections would not be made... Last night I had to run an errand and left the Proscan running; when I returned about 45 minutes later the audio was streaming to the computer... Today when I started Proscan the same behavior was observed; after about 5-10 minutes of running the audio connected and the streaming started... However, the connection this morning has been intermittent... What could be going on here??

Is that with the BCD536HP or SDS200?
Ensure you're not running AVG Antivirus software as that will interrupt the TCP traffic. A possibility is a flaky cable or connection.

Scanner is BCD536HP; not running AVG Anti virus... the cables used are USB to the scanner and the one to the wifi dongle...
Today the streaming was more reliable and it started right up when I turned the scanner and Proscan on at a few different times.... It did not start up at first turn on this am... Strange... I am wondering if WIndows is doing some funny stuff... I have the latest Windows 10 Pro update: Version 20H2, OS build 19042.572, installed 10/28/2020... I will continue to use the streaming and post here if something interesting happens...

It seemed like some were more than 2 secs, but close. And do have the Delete <2 secs on. I'll play with that setting and see what happens.

Thanks!!
