ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

PEM (chained or not chained), DER, & PKCS-7 all should work. I tested using a cert from TrustCor and with someone that works for a root CA.
Did you receive a .KEY file?

What site did you receive yours from so I can try it out and test it.

{edit} Does the Valid box show True or False?
These are all the files I can download from No-Ip which did the domain and Certificate through TrustCor. I've tried all of them. There is no "Key" file.

It looks like the private key is generated when the CSR is created. Did you use OpenSSL to create the CSR?

{edit}
It looks like TrustCor uses 'keytool' to generate the CSR. Note the 'domain.key' key filename.
example:
keytool -genkey -keyalg RSA -keystore domain.key -validity 360 (NOTE validity may vary)

CSR = Certificate Signing Request

Care to show me where I previously asked, without biting my head off?
#6915. I checked to make sure it wasn't someone else posting.
I am trying to utilize the Recorder to check a system I didn't hear at the time. Because I was not near the computer. The problem is. When I play an mp3 file, I don't have any sound.
It looks the same to me as
I am having trouble with, no sound. When I play the Recorder in ProScan.

In the earlier post, you advised that the green playback control moves so it's recording and the recordings show up in the grid. Now the Record is set off on all systems. It had to be on earlier else it wouldn't record. I think there's a wire crossed somewhere.

I turned 'Record' off on all the systems.
Then Proscan Will Not RECORD you told it not to.
Also asking the same questions in different threads is not going to help.
I am recording 16 Scanners with Proscan on 1 PC at the same time I know it works if you follow the setup help that has been posted in this and other post.

Not enough Information with the sound issue. What are the file sizes of the files? Do they contain anything or are they blank files?
What are you playing the files back, on? The same computer? If so, check sound output devices in the system mixer.
Have you tried playing the files back on a different device?

Did you tag the channels in the scanner programming to RECORD?
It is a setup problem.
I'm pretty sure that he's using a 325P2, which doesn't even have the Record flag in its programming, since it doesn't have a REC output jack (obviously). Unless he has the Lookup Record Flag from Database option enabled on ProScan's recorder tab, it shouldn't matter either way. The default mode of recording in ProScan is based on Activity.

It seems that @Chris0516 has had a number of issues with his audio, from recording ambient noise through his PC's microphone to not having anything recorded/silent mp3 files. His posts are often vague and repetitive, so it's nearly impossible to properly diagnose what his issue is.

It could be as simple as he doesn't even have an audio cable between his 325P2's headphone jack and an input on the PC running ProScan. Perhaps he mistakenly believes that audio is sent over the USB connection, which of course it isn't.

Curious Question: Why does ProScan (each and every time) indicate that data has changed and ask to save database file after uploading to scanner? I am just opening an existing database file and only uploading it to scanner. I have not modified any configuration of the database file, just want to open it, upload to scanner, and close it. But it still says data has changed and prompts to save. It leaves me a little confused as to what to do, so I choose to save it each time.
Scanner type is BCT15 on ProScan 18.0

Thanks,
ScottPDX

Why would you need to upload a database that hasn't been changed more than once to the scanner? Seems like once you've uploaded it, you wouldn't need to do so again unless you've made a change. :unsure:

That's the way the scanner indexing scheme works. Each item (system, group, site, & channel) is assigned an index #. If the option 'Delete All Systems In The Scanner Before Uploading' is set then when uploading, the scanner will assign new indexes to each item as each item is created in the scanner. The same index #'s are transferred to the ProScan database causing a change.

I have always wonder about the "save" message after an upload also, thanks for answering that. I always save any changes I make in Proscan before doing any uploads and then I upload the changes to the scanner. Actually, many times I make the changes before I even attached the scanner. Being a long time user of Windows computers, I know the old saying - "Save your work often" before Windows crashes or a power outage. :)
