ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

That's the way the scanner indexing scheme works. Each item (system, group, site, & channel) is assigned an index #. If the option 'Delete All Systems In The Scanner Before Uploading' is set then when uploading, the scanner will assign new indexes to each item as each item is created in the scanner. The same index #'s are transferred to the ProScan database causing a change.

Thank you, Bob.

Since the upgrade, I keep getting disconnects....Attached are the two screenshots, one from the Source Client screen and the other from Remote Scan over IP.

Has anyone had problems using the built-in "Get a Let's Encrypt Certificate" feature to get a certificate to run the web server in HTTPS mode.? I keep getting a "Failed Acquiring Certificate-3" error. I am running through my Private Internet Access VPN, W10-64bit, Ports 80 and 443 are open. I am able to run the web server in HHTP mode with no issues through my no-ip xxx.ddns.net:##### address. TIA

No changes in that area in a long time and no one else reported this. I would check your setup. Perhaps temporarily disable any internet security software for a test and reboot your router and computer.

Only port 80 needs to be opened for the DNS Challenge. Port 80 is the unsecured port as you know so Let's Encrypt uses that port as the certificate has not been issued yet. Port 443 can be closed. I seen someone make a router Port Forwarding rule for port 80 to get it to work. You can also get a cert from Free Dynamic DNS - Managed DNS - Managed Email - Domain Registration - No-IP but that will cost a little. Also try Certify The Web - simple free certificates for IIS and more, powered by Let's Encrypt and other ACME CAs.

{edit} Check that your ISP is not blocking port 80.

My ISP is blocking port 80, but if I run the PIA VPN port 80 is open and I am able to run the server in HTTP mode. It's getting the encryption certificate to run in HTTPS mode that is the problem. I'm guessing it has something to do with my VPN already encrypting the data.....

Is the web server on port 80? Start the web server on port 80 then test with https://canyouseeme.org/
That should verify if your ISP is blocking port 80 incoming connections.

I haven't seen a way to do this so thought I would ask. Is it possible to globally change various channel settings based on service types?

For example, say a person wants to change the delay time for "all" channels in a Fav list with a service type of Transportation to something other than 2sec., is this possible?

Same with keyword search...change the delay time or other settings, etc., based on keyword searches in channel names/descriptions such as "bus" or "buses?"

There are certain services I don't want to donate much time to and would like the ability to change them globally vs manually.

Thank you.

I have ProScan up and running with my SDS200 on a dedicated laptop attached to my network and I love it. That said, I am looking for a setting or option that will store files generated by ProScan (i.e. recorder files) to a network location (or a location other than the default location within the c:\proscan folder.

I performed an initial search in this forum but perhaps I wasn’t searching the proper terms.

Go to the Options menu Recorder tab then click on the 'Recordings Location' button then select the new location.

I am new to both ProScan and the SDS200, please bear with me. I installed ProScan on my Windows 11 computer (dedicated to web hosting). Everything is running quite smoothly, except; I get a pop-up when Proscan autostarts (webserver also autostarts) as desired.

The pop-up states, "Source CLient" Published Server IP Addr. Or Name Must Contain A Value." This pop-up seems to be a nuisance only, as everything works fine.

I have checked and re-checked all of the tabs/settings, to no avail...anyone have any suggestions?

Go to the menu Options - Startup tab then uncheck everything that you don't want to start when the program starts. Web Server and Source Client are unchecked by default so you must of checked the boxes at some point.

I had been successfully been running proscan webserver, I had purchased a domain, installed Nuke Extreme PHP with an iframe in a block. Since the update my iframe no longer works but my server is still running. Did the software change permissions for allowing an iframe?
Thanks, Jeta1

Negative. No changes in the web server web page in a long time.

{edit} I don't think it's possible to change permissions on html elements. I would use your browser debugger and see if any errors and trace it back to the root cause.

Hi All,
I don't own ProScan at the moment but I'm planning a small project to install a touchscreen / tablet into my car connected to a laptop running Proscan which will be connected to my UBC3600XLT (same as a 436HP) hidden away in the centre console.
My old eyes are struggling a little these days so the point of this is to have a larger display in the car and be able to operate the radio from the screen also (I'll only need the Hold buttons probably)
Is it possible to get the virtual display in fullscreen?
All of the screenshots I've seen seem to have a settings window under the virtual display...

Thanks...

I suggest trying the fully functional 30 day demo/trial. Your questions may be answered.

As a new SDS200 owner, I find the ongoing support for ProScan amazing! Excellent utility.
Congratulations. I am using the recording feature which is great because I can return home and hear everything on my favorite talkgroups. I learned that you need a ground fault interrupter between the earphone jack and the input on the computer to avoid noise and distortion. I tried this with two computers and USB audio inputs as well. I used an earphone splitter cable and separate computer speakers since using loopback in the Audio Control produced some distortion.
