ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thanks Bob! Keep up the good work, sir! Oh yeah got a question.......Pro Scan works great in my car. The Bluetooth audio is fine. Just wondering if when I’m monitoring if it’s possible to see the “interface” on an Apple CarPlay device. Thanks!
Can you open a browser on your CarPlay device? I’ve never specifically tried but I don’t believe you can. So the answer to your question is no.

Good afternoon, all...

I am trying to figure out in ProScan, how to set the Metadata to match the audio stream...

I know in the ProScan free, there is a dedicated area for it, but I can't seem to find anything in the Paid version, and I am trying to make sure everything is working as I want it before my trail runs out next week.

When streaming my feed, the audio comes on, and about a second or two later, the metadata is displayed. Sometimes that is even after the transmission has finished.

Overgaard & Surrounding Area Public Safety Live Audio Feed

Thanks!

You mean RadioFeed.
Click the button circled in the image to set the metadata.

The characteristics of the metadata in the RadioFeed and ProScan web server/browser should be the same as they uses the same code.

{edit} I see you're streaming on Broadcastify so are you referring to the ProScan Web Server, Source Client, or both?

Good evening. I am curious and new to the feed. I am using the newest version on an MCD996P2. I am curious, I see on some feeds in Broadcastify that they are scanning, and which channel is broadcasting at that moment. I have tried going through the various resources and cannot seem to find the answer. Thank you for your time.

@ProScan Would it be possible for you to add the option capability to RadioFeed to mute/block Fire/EMS toneouts? I have been trying to find tech that would filter toneouts from my SDS200 that I stream my BCFY feed with, but to no avail. I stream my BCFY feed back to several of my PCs and would truly enjoy having this noise eliminated. This blaring noise is a major detriment to scanner listening and like I said, if I could filter them out on my end, I would.

Did you try the Broadcast L/O function?

I don't think that helps me, I'd still like to hear the Fire/EMS calls, but not the blaring tone that proceeds them.

The software has no way of knowing what is being transmitted when the squelch opens. I know what you're talking about but it seems it would require some sort of store and forward setup using some sort of monitoring feature to receive the transmission, listen for tones, mute them, then pass the audio on to the stream.

Tone outs are just part of monitoring. It does seem that some departments/dispatch centers/systems have the tones louder than others but it is what it is.

Perhaps some sort of AI thing could be setup to do it but, again, it would be a store and forward type setup and not instantaneous I wouldn't think.

Thanks for your analysis of the issue. Since there is some lag from live on BCFY feeds, ali'l more wouldn't hurt. If it was an elaborate undertaking on your part, maybe you could make it a paid upgrade to RadioFeed. RadioFeed Pro?
