Alright folks... I've got a few doozies here.
I'm on the hunt for an inexpensive VHF radio. Found an XTS2000 on eBay that I really like, however I'm having some hesitations about pulling the trigger --
As far as programming it, that is. I cannot find the programming software for it anywhere, I've even contacted Motorola and they no longer distribute it. And on top of that, a programming cable for it, preferably with USB.
That same XTS2000... is advertised as a P25 capable radio. Is the radio still capable of handing conventional analog VHF frequencies?
If anyone can point me in the right direction for any of those issues, I'd be wildly grateful!
Onto the next... CP series radios.
I have a set of 4 CP110's, that are only two channels in the UHF band - Whatever the preset frequencies are. 2 of them work on channel 1, and 2 of them work on channel 2, yet all of them communicate together. All four of those radios will communicate directly to my XPR7550 and APX6000, but the XPR's and APX's cannot communicate back to the CP's. Does anybody know anything about the CP radios and would be willing to chime in. I ordered a programming cable but I'm not sure if it's going to work...
At work, we have numerous CP200d's. Are these programmed with TRBO CPS? My boss is asking me to see if I can take a look at some of the settings on them. If not TRBO, what software?
Thanks in advance for any insight to any of my weird stuff!
