A couple things to watch for today weather permitting which looks dreary.

1045am Arlington Va ...possible Drago flight at Arlington for B-17 crew burial.

WWII Phila. bomber pilot's remains identified; he will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery | Philadelphia Inquirer | 09/21/2011

And the other is:

The Coast Guard and other agencies will conduct a mass rescue operation exercise in the Delaware Bay today. Officials said the drill is designed to simulate a mass rescue that might overwhelm normal capabilities. The drill will take place at 1 p.m.

Also F-22's have been cleared to fly today so may finally get some action out of Langley.

Angry Flight

Had on my tape from yesterday a flight of 4 Angry F16's from DC. I belive it was on one of their a/a freqs. I only had the recording. Sounded like they were doing some type of targeting training. Talking about spotting cars and tracking them. Had about 7-8 mins of chatter between them. Not sure if it was training or real world. At the end they talked of weather moving in so they were going to rtb to Andrews. Anyone else catch this or have anymore info?? Thanks

Last week I was wondering why an Iranian Mil jet was landing at BWI and got an explanation. Now I see why others are landing down here, not suggesting anything, but, what an easy was to get a bomb into our country, eh?

A few hours ago we had the AAR tankers for the 107thFS A-10C movement, GOLD 51 (83-0075), 53 (58-0088), 61 (79-1713), 62 (58-0067) and 63 (63-7988) transition east across New England and OTS between 12-14Z. This makes sense as most of the tankers had to wait for the A-10s to get out this far.

For those that don't know (I just learned this myself), any tanker callsign "GOLD" denotes an eastward track towards the UK and any tanker callsign "BLUE" denotes an westward track back into US Airspace. You can read more on this here.

This image shows their full routing to LPLA (BIG thanks to the FAA's PilotWeb service!).

Got RAF Hawk 128 ZK020 at FL260 on mode-S currently.

Just before that Czech Air Force 05E Canadair CL-601 2B16 Challenger reg 5105 had departed somewhere and headed out of range.

1800- TALON34 at FL270. ZDC 270.35
