And i bet as the weeks go on we will see that system tab grow with a bunch more as people start to decode things and it sends to the DSD database.
I think it's time to change this txt file over to an page on the website for dsdplus fastlane access only(verify using dsd password for rar??).If user A sends OTA information for RID 10035 on WVSIRN and that OTA data is decoded, then that OTA data is available to anyone else who monitors WVSIRN with the new version of DSDPlus if they actually monitored a registration, affilation or group/private/data call of 10035. Subsequent people monitoring RID 10035 would see the decoded alias almost instantly. But, my understanding is that if there were 20,000 decoded RIDs for WVSIRN, everyone monitoring SIRN isn't going to magically have their DSDPlus.radios file populated with 20,000 decoded RIDs. The DSDPlus.radios file of every listener of SIRN will receive decoded RID information for only the RIDs that their DSDPlus have seen. And I think that makes perfect sense.

Also, is it possible to decode this ourselves if we lose internet for whatever reason?
my bad, I meant just the AliasStats.txt file. Maybe that's something that could be shown on the website instead of being a downloaded since it's going to get much bigger pretty quickly.I can't decipher your first sentence. If you are suggesting that there should be some "page" somewhere where every decodable alias for every monitored system is available on one page to subscribers, I'd be against that. Sure it would be eye candy for some, but really unneeded for 99.999% of the people out there. I don't need to know the radio aliases for a system in CA that I have not and will never monitor. I like how it currently [seemingly] is, where you are going to get decodable aliases for things you actually monitor yourself. That encourages people to actually run DSDplus on the sites within one of these systems. If all the decoded radio IDs were available to fetch from a page in one batch, nobody would be inclined to send OTA data (which can change, as was mentioned by others before in this thread) and would just lead to a page full of up to date aliases, semi up-to-date aliases, and wildly out-of-date aliases.
No to the second sentence.

One thought I had is I wish there was an easy way to export the RID aliases, downloaded to my computer, for a system so that could be used in other radios/scanners/pagers.
I was getting tired of downloading the txt file every little while haha. I like seeing what other systems have joined the new dsd+.That's an interesting thought. Not sure that it would be a bad idea. Would be nice for anyone to see at a moment's glance precisely what systems are known to be sending OTA data. It obviously wouldn't be an indicator that it was a list of every system that sends OTA data, but it could potentially grow fairly big and show a lot of systems with OTA data. Which I guess might induce some people to update / purchase Fast Lane and monitor based upon knowing that if they monitor one of those particular systems they will get the cleartext aliases to see and drool over. I do sort of like that idea. Maybe somebody else will think of a downside of publishing that on a website. I imagine the author will eventually read that and mull it over.
It won't change your custom ones. Check the MISC-->P25 blah blah menu. It can display your aliases and the real aliases, or just yours, or just the real ones.About 45 mints ago I got the update alert for the 205. Than I looked and found it here. Question what happens if you have you a tg or rid already named? Will this update change it or start from scratch?
Okay TY. I went and changed it to Display OTA see what happens. It won't change your custom ones. Check the MISC-->P25 blah blah menu. It can display your aliases and the real aliases, or just yours, or just the real ones.
I was wondering the samething. I don't see nothing popping up for OTA alias for RID.Is there a way to determine if the OTA alias is an option on a system? I'll leave mine on for a while, but I can't see anything coming up in the window yet.
Remember, you have to be monitoring a Motorola P2 five system that has aliases turned on. If it doesn’t have aliases turned on, you won’t see aliases. If it’s not a Motorola P 25 system, you absolutely will not see aliases.I was wondering the samething. I don't see nothing popping up for OTA alias for RID.
Dont it decode alias on Harris P25 also?Remember, you have to be monitoring a Motorola P2 five system that has aliases turned on. If it doesn’t have aliases turned on, you won’t see aliases. If it’s not a Motorola P 25 system, you absolutely will not see aliases.
