I have heard several Hamilton County units in the clear on SAFE-T this week. One night was Carmel PD running traffic (briefly) on 10300 (old Sheriff Dispatch) & today, Westfield PD on Region H MA 3. Any thoughts on why they would be operating there vs System 3? Working out of the district, maybe?

MA is a patch without a patch, yes? So the Westfield was probably working another agency....Carnel maybe they were having issues with their new fangled encryption.

All the statewide, and regional mutual aids are in every single SAFE-T enabled radio. There is no patches on them. At one point Hamilton County did have specific HMA TG's set aside by IPSC for use as "MESA" S3 was having issues, but as far as I know those have all reverted back to open region wide mutual aids. Hamilton County also still has a full set of back up TG's on SAFE-T, but never has used them except for HCS-CID, and the EMS ones.

Westfield was conducting a surveillance operation along "32" (assuming SR 32) and mentioned a few places local to the Westfield area, so not out of the district, & all RIDs were Westfield units.

It was good to hear the "local" guys again, ha!

Seen this ID today affiliate with Sullivan County Dispatch and then Vigo County Dispatch.... Anyone have a clue who this might be (Site on wheels maybe?) Sullivan County over the last few days has had someone with a 77 ID laughing on their talk group... Could this be a moto tech also? ID is 810258 ... as you can see it is an 8 dispatch console? Zone 1, ID 0258.... it joined both groups without a rejection....

Lookin through my radio logs....I have 810258 listed as DNR Unit 600 as a radio ID

That person identified as "600" on DNR North Region Disp on 11/19/23. That's a Carroll county RID. I have 579 hits on this RID; all on TG10197, starting on 11/06/23.

Most ICO units ID as 2-13, 1-17, X-14, 4-09, etc.. I've never heard a "hundred" number before hearing this person identify as "six hundred" last weekend. I'm wondering if this is ICO unit 6-00, or the top person for ICO Region 6. I've never heard a 4-00, 3-00, 2-00, so hearing "six hundred" really caught my attention.

and I get that west-pac and county ID 8 for Carroll... we don't get the single county ID's down here so I have never seen a single digit ID ...

I logged that RID as DNR unit 301 some time ago. I currently only have DNR 300 & 311 in my logs off the Dist 52 tower in the last 30 days.

Wayne County unknown TGID 21759, RID was a 7 digit unit, starting with 92 or 94 as if it were ISP. Didn’t see the full readout. Whoever it was sounded really quiet and I couldn’t copy. Also heard ISP parole unit(s) in Wayne County on TGID 12498 around the same time. RID was 9406596. First time I’d heard that.

21759 is IDOC, used for their prisoner transports. ISP uses 93xxxxx radio IDs, 94xxxxx would be IDOC as ISP does not handle parole.

State radio ID's started at 93xxXXX. All of the "93" RIDs are taken, and they're issuing 94xxXXX RIDs now. The 93 RIDs are not exclusive to ISP. Every state agency has 93xxXXX or 94xxXXX RIDs.

21759 is not listed anywhere on the Safe-T TRS page. My mistake regarding 12498. It of course is listed on the TRS page & is DOC parole, not ISP. 21759 though I cannot find anywhere.

Both of those TGs have been talk about a lot over the past 18 months or so. Apparently nobody has ever made a submission for the one.
