While listening during the Trooper Aaron Smith funeral today, I saw radio id 4111501 on TG 10819. I did not catch if this was the Greenwood or Franklin site.

The unit was calling asking if anyone could hear him. I'm guessing he was on the wrong TG.

Anyone know what this TG is? It's in the Johnson County series of talk groups.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd guess Edinburgh Tac - Special Events.

Who does that RID belong to?

I caught, the other day, a Indy VA police unit here in Terre Haute at the VA Clinic on their dispatch channel and the dispatcher was ENC and the unit was in the clear... Is this how you guys in Indy hear their talkgroup also.... Mixed ENC?

When a TG is mixed I think it is really the radios that are mixed. I've mentioned before I keep 'encrypted' TG's in the scan no matter the system.
Using a 197 the audio still passes; the encrypted radio being garbled and unintelligible as designed and the others not. If all I hear is continuous garbled I do a temp lock out that will reset when I power down.

I do the same. 99% of scanner listeners don't understand the benefit of leaving encrypted TGs in the scan list.

I have not heard any Enc on VA PD here yet. The new Console has not been installed yet here so they can't go E unless it's car to car. The only time they use SAFE-T here is when going out of town. They use either UHF or MESA 99% of the time here in Indy. And usually on MESA it's talking to IMPD Downtown Control, or the Downtown units when needed. Last I heard, the new console should be installed by September 1. Once that's in its full time E, except on MESA.

I'm not finding that talkgroup listed anywhere in the SAFE-T system but that radio ID belongs to a New Whiteland police officer.

Anyone around Hancock Co that can identify TG: 12721?... It's not in the DB. Identifying the agency for RID: 3010900 may aid in identifying the TG.

(Double post bcuz I apparently should ask this here)

It’s been a while since I’ve been in Lake County. I know they have a system of their own, but is anyone using the IN SAFE-T system or anything being patched to it or is everyone sticking to the standalone county system?

Thanks for any info!

Only towns dispatched by SouthComm use SAFE-T, which are Cedar Lake and Schererville, and I believe Purdue Northwest PD uses SAFE-T too. Everyone else is on the Lake County system.

I picked this up also yesterday at 2:13pm off the tower in Delaware county. I have 9407961 listed as WCC Truck 3. Im Guessing WCC means Wabash Correctional Center but thats just a guess. 21759 is DOC Parole South ops.

93199 is the Parole Dispatch console RID.

ISP = Indiana State Prison - Michigan City.
RID 93199 = "IDOC Operations".

As far as the 21759 TG, I don't think that is a Parole TG, but more likely a Transportation TG. I've been listening to it all weekend off of the Huntington tower. There is no IDOC facility anywhere around Huntington, and given that this is a southern-zone TG that WCC and ISP is using in NWI, I'd guess this is some kind of TG for prisoner transports that is available statewide; although I've not yet heard any other IDOC facilities on this TG.

Just heard MCF (Miami Correctional Facility?) Truck 2 on TG 21759. They had just returned to MCF from Lutheran Hosp in Fort Wayne.

Just saw a Fort Wayne PD ESU (Swat/intelligence) radio affiliated with an unknown TG 12741; also TG 12742.

There is a lot of FWPD ESU traffic on the Huntington and Marion (Grant Co) towers.

Those pop up on the D52, and the IGC North sites a lot, along with the one listed for ESU... I now have doubts that is JUST an FWPD TG... And 10120 is now regularly popping up again on the "sweeps" days that almost every drug unit uses of Tuesdays/Thursdays. Those 2 days being universally dope run days , they even make rap songs about them.
