I had ask if Military frequencies could be added to RR's database. This was the response from loumaag:

"Try submitting the frequncies for your local area instead of saying it isn't there. No submissions = No data. :("

We're you guys aware of this? This would be nice. What do you think?

Thanks!

Feel free to add anything to my Wiki page. A lot of the freqs I have were gathered from other users and my own listening experience. Any updates would be great.

The WiKi page is super, and I know you put a LOT of work into it. The reason I want to get the freqs into the database is so they can be easily imported into our scanners.

Welcome to milair listening punchcard. Just an FYI that was the 180th TFW from Ohio you were listening to. They are usually a very active unit in Michigan airspace. Happy Scanning!

Members of the 127th WG/171st AS have been returning home recently after 45 days in Afghanistan. ( Last deployment of their C-130E's.) An OMNI-air DC-10 came in yesterday from Frankfort.

You answered my question. Last night (1-9-07) around 10:00PM, I was listening to my scanner and I heard "Omni 75 Heavy" depart Selfridge. I was wondering who and what type of aircraft it was.

Heard a C-5 refueling yesterday. Callsign was RHINO 5.

And a question about frequncies in the 32-47 range...... what mode should my scanner be in? All i get is fuzz in FM mode using a PRO-97.
Any Ideas???

I heard parts of this. And part of another exercise also. Were you hearing the "headbutt" exercise. I have been scanning police/fire for years, but MILAIR is new for me. Hearing the far away stuff is cool. I just wish I had a better idea of just how far away. Like how far was HUNTRESS when I was hearing it?

ALSO, why is Selfridge so quiet these days? It Figures that when I decide to start listening, I am not seeing the jets as much as this summer.

Far away? It might be right over your house.

Regarding Selfridge, are you monitoring just the air traffic, or do you also monitor ground support, security, etc?

This may be part of the reason why its so quiet.

A few weeks ago the C-130s came back from the sandbox, I wonder if they are taking a break because usually they are very active. Try plugging in the 180th from OH, they are always up here.
