Hello everyone. A new release has been posted. Sorry for the delay but I wanted to make sure everything worked properly. This release is a complete re-design of the line input sources. Unfortunately, if you are using the existing line inputs, they will need to be setup again. The major change is that the volume is now applied in code instead of on the hardware. This will fix issues that several people have had. Specifically, if you are using RadioLog on the same machine you are broadcasting feeds from, this will not affect the volume of those feeds. This also makes the decoder and recording logic the same for the line in and streaming sources.

I am testing out RadioLog 1.1.0.56 and I seem to have a problem with the alpha tags properly displaying. It is like the tags are not in sync, not even close. I am streaming feeds off of Broadcastify and comparing it with WinAmp which I know is properly working. Is this a known problem or do I have my settings incorrect?

It's been like that (not in sync) from the first version

I have had that problem with this, ScannerLive and sometimes with Broadcastify feeds themselves. It seems to be a combination of the software, my Internet and the source's Internet.

I am pretty sure this problem is with RadioLog. I am a feed provider and understand there is some delay before the audio and the alpha tags finally make it through to the end listener. I also understand that sometimes the alpha tags are can be a little out of sync (by a few seconds) but what I am seeing is a lot more than that. I am still trying to figure this out but it almost looks like the alpha tags are being displayed nearly 30 seconds before the audio that belongs to it comes through.

I was testing the same feed playing in Winamp and the audio and the tags were in sync.

And on another note... is there any support for feeds from sites like railroadradio.net? These only seem to output a PLS file and I can't seem to get Radiolog to connect to any of them.

I am trying to set up a batch file to stop RadioLog with Task Scheduler. It appears that Radiolog does not install like other programs. I need the entire path of where the application file, including the file extension. I have only been able to find shortcuts to radiolog and they do not show the entire path.

I am running windows 8.1

Thanks

A Icon for RadioLog?

I have been enjoying RadioLog since I purchased it last November or so. The application icon on my desktop is a bit plain though. I've found a couple of icons that I like, but I don't now how to apply them to a ".appref-ms" type of file. If it was a ".exe", I could replace the image with the properties section but that choice is not available with a ".appref-ms" file.

Her are a couple of icons I like:
Radio Inside a Cloud

Radio at a Slant

How can I replace the default image in the shortcut to RadioLog?

Thought about the [highlight].appref-ms[/highlight] issue and decided to do a search on C:\ for radiolog.exe
Found this:
[size=-2]

C:\>dir /s /n radiolog.exe
Volume in drive C is Win7-SSD
Volume Serial Number is 887F-8F02

Directory of C:\Users\mattj\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\Y5TE1EME.4OZ\2ZV1XOP2.RDP\radi..tion_fc4a8f6a8b030ddb_0001.0001_bcd15e1d608d8b3d

2015-01-15 01:40 PM 1,451,872 RadioLog.exe
1 File(s) 1,451,872 bytes

Directory of C:\Users\mattj\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\Y5TE1EME.4OZ\2ZV1XOP2.RDP\radi..tion_fc4a8f6a8b030ddb_0001.0001_bcd15e1f618baabd

2015-01-26 06:26 PM 1,447,776 RadioLog.exe
1 File(s) 1,447,776 bytes

[/size]

I made a shortcut to the second one and changed the icon of the shortcut. That seemed to work fine. I assume the multiple RadioLog.exe files are different versions so if that is the case, I picked the latest one.

Not sure whats going on, but all of a sudden Radiolog is crashing for me. No update or anything done. Sending you the log text file to see if you have suggestions.

Are you running Windows 8.1 by any chance? I have had very poor luck with RadioLog and Windows 8.1, constantly freezes. I also have it running on a computer running Windows 7 and running just fine.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH... I have been playing with the free trial of this program for the last hour or so and I love it. You have made it so easy to link to broadcastify links. I will buy for sure.

I am 38 and no longer a FF/EMT as close to being bedridden from medical problems and I know this will litteraly help me keep my sanity when my mobility gets worse by entertaining me.

God Bless

I found the NorCal DMR stream in Tunein but can't get radio log to stream it.

NorCal DMR - - Listen Online

I tried to copy and paste the link from the above link but it did not work

Your link looks like this:
http://tunein.com/radio/NorCal-DMR-s219340/

You need to find a link that looks more like this:

http://www.broadcastify.com/scripts/playlists/1/16377/585400-5646358224.m3u

See that .m3u at the end? That's important I think.

Inside the particular .m3u file listed above, it looks like this:
Code:
#EXTM3U

#EXTINF:-1,N0BVE 145.450 MHz HandiHam Repeater Live Audio Feed
http://relay.broadcastify.com:80/309978874

Tunein may not provide a .m3u type of link, I'm not sure. The .m3u type of link allows you to listen to streams with your own player. Like for example with RadioLog. Tunein might only allow their own stream player so it can make money by forcing you to use that.
