I'm having a rather irritating problem with radiolog that I can't seem to fix...

After restarting the program, all of my feeds are sitting 2/3 of the way off the right side of the screen where I can't see them. I.E. I can see the first 2 feeds in each row (I am using tabbed interface), and everything else is off the side of the screen.

Anyone experienced this or know how to fix it? Adjusting screen resolution does nothing, and only "tabbed interface" mode seems to have the problem.

I've also had that problem of the window objects off the screen to the right. I ended up on the command line to delete the conifg file so the program could recreate the default when it next started. I don't remember the path at the moment, but I can get it to you if you can't find it.

Of course you loose all of your settings and customizations so you have to redo them after the program starts again.

Is this program dead in the water now? Haven't seen Joe in here in awhile or any updates..
I use this program almost every day so I would not describe it as "dead in the water." However, as you can see in the forum history, I have not seen a post by the author in a little while. I'm very appricative though because there is nothing else on the market that works like this for such a reasonable cost. It's still awesome even if nothing changes.

Thanks for the tip... I tried that and then tried to reload a known good configuration setting and it reverted back... Very frustrating!

Well it seems I can't close the program and re-open it without all my feeds shooting off the right side of the screen, which renders the program useless. Deleting the Config files is useless if I have to jump through all these hoops every time I restart.

Hopefully Joe will respond to my email with a solution.

Well as an update, I updated the BIOS and Graphics Drivers on this machine and it seems to have resolved the issues. If I can just get my license key issues resolved with Joe I'll be set.

Scanner control/tags?

Just a quick question, I came across this thread a couple of days ago while looking for ways to decode MDC 1200 signals, and someone mentioned having it access a com port to control or at least read from a scanner...

I've fired off an email to the website but received no response, so I was wondering if anyone has been able to get that to work or knows anything about it.

Currently I use IDTracker for control and logging, but it doesn't have the ability to decode MDC 1200.

Thanks.

I'm surprised that a BIOS update and graphics driver update would fix this. Mostly because I don't have either available for my computer. I did receive an email from the author on 23 March when he said he would look into this problem.

The website for this software, called RadioLog, is located at ResponderApps - RadioLog. Perhaps there you will find more about the information you are seeking. According to information on the first page, it does decode MDC 1200.

Thanks for the reply, I had originally found the software on that website like I mentioned, and emailed them but got no reply which prompted me to ask on this forum

Also, I do see a check mark for decoding MDC1200 when looking at the streaming audio editor window for a single feed.

Correct, and it works great. But my question was in regards to scanner control. If you read through this thread, you'll see people mention using it for alpha tags as well as setting the comport, but as you can see from your screen, that option doesn't seem to be available anymore and I was hoping someone who had used the program in the past or knew something about that feature would be able to explain how to set it up, or if it even still exists inside the program.

I see they offer a trial license, maybe that would be helpful?

I did try the trial which led me to asking my questions here :)

Yeah.. I had just done a fresh install of Windows 7 on the computer I bought to run this in my office, and hadn't installed any updated drivers or software other than windows patches. I noticed that the software was working when the issue was happening, it just seemed like it didn't know where the edge of the screen was.

FYI if you contact Joe via his website he will answer you....

No one's answered in the thread, and I just want to say I did try and contact him by the website and got no reply, but I think I'm going to take a gamble and buy the software anyways.

I like the ability to turn on and off various audio sources and adjust the volume on the fly if nothing else. I can see that coming in really handy when brush fire season picks up and I have multiple commands and tacs working at the same time.

Still would have loved to know what happened to the scanner control that was mentioned earlier in this thread!

Hi Mountain343

I don't know where you are referring to when you mention this app controlling a scanner through a serial port.

I'm attaching a file with the text archive of this thread. In the file, I did a search for the words "scanner AND control". The only text that shows up is what you have written recently.

Please check out the attached archive file to give us a clue as to which post you are referring.
