Deactivation

I have a new desktop computer.
I have an old desktop computer running Proscan.
I also have an old laptop computer running Proscan.
Using the old desktop computer, I open ProScan.
Under Tools, I select Remove Activation.
I answer Yes.
I get the following error message:

Activation Removal Failed
Check Internet Connection

I am typing this using the old desktop computer. I believe my (old desktop computer) IP Address is 192.168.1.125

Thanks for any deactivation assistance.

I can't copy from the clipboard.

More info would be helpful.

What is it doing or not doing?
Are you at the Group(or Department), Site, or Channel level so the Get Clipboard is not grayed out?
Did you copy the data to the Win Clipboard?
What type of scanner?
Are you using it for importing UID's

I would try again. If problem persist then send me an email. All key, activation, and deactivation issues are handled via email only. IP Address has nothing to do with activation.

Had to turn off a couple of anti-whatever programs and then the deactivation on the old desktop was successful! Reinstalled ProScan on the new desktop as desired! Thanks Bob!

Newbe to ProScan

I have my BCD536HP up and running in program which I just today loaded and have activated. First issue is I cannot get Favorites Editor to pull data using Scanner Read. The Read From Scanner opens and no listing of scanner. I Refresh and no listing of scanner.

What am I doing wrong or not doing right??

Thanks for the reply budd.
I am pretty sure I am on the USB cable. on bottom of the scanner monitor screen it shows a connection to comm port 18 baud rate 115200 and in normal mode. All seems to be working as far as the scanner goes. I just cannot download or upload to the scanner.

Put it in serial mode to download and upload to and from the scanner and ProScan. In normal mode you can only monitor and control the scanner.

Sorry, you need to put the scanner in mass storage mode to upload and download, serial mode to control and monitor... sorry for the mixup

Small, adequate computer to run Proscan

I want to dedicate a small computer to Proscan and my 536. Recommendations? Tablet, small laptop, whatever, I assume with at least a USB port. Suggestions? I would like it 'on' my desk, but not to dominate the desk so I have room for other things.

Thanks.

If this isn't the proper place to ask this, just shoot me. I looked elsewhere and didn't find an answer or another place to ask, nor a place to open a new thread.

Forrest, go to explainingcomputers.com and review the "Single Board Computer". They look to be very adaptable to a use like streaming a scanner or such.

Help with scanner recordings and custom folders.

Can I have more then one custom folder path that my recordings get sent to? I would like to have more sub folders so it is a little more organized (See Below).
Example:
Now my recording folder is like this: Root folder (F): > Date > Filename (Here there are only 3 folder paths)

I would like to change it so I have more sub folders like this: (F): > Date > Scanner Type > Group Name > Channel Name > File Name (Here there are a lot more sub folder directory's) .

Hope I didn't make that to confusing
Thanks,
Nick

Yes
1. Go to the Recording Options tab.
2. Change the Recordings Location to the F drive root folder.
3. Set the Custom Recording Folders Format Specifiers to %D\%ST\%G\%C
