Are there any keyboard shortcuts to add frequencies and/or TGs to a system instead of having to right-click one at a time? I wanna enter like 50 conventional frequencies to a system on the BCD996P2, but it looks like you have to right-click and choose Add > Channel (Frequency) 50 times to do it. It would be nice if there was a way to tell it to just add 50 rows in one shot.

You could use the Get Clipboard function to do that. 1st - Create a new conventional system or use an existing one. 2nd - Create a group or use an existing one. 3rd - Put the frequencies in a doc and copy to the Win Clipboard. 4th - Use the ProScan Get Clipboard function.

Using the 536 scanner, I want to log and record on the computer the contents of the scanner recordings when I use Replay. If I download and look at the file, the data is not there for UID, TGID, etc. If I play the file, I have to watch it and write down the info.

If I go to TEST & EXTRAS tab, I can see all the data flowing across the screen but nothing it populated on the tabs. If I have 500 recordings to play, unattended would be perfect. Recording the audio on the computer a plus.

If you mean Proscan's replay, it can't track UID.

The 536 onboard record will.

I use MediaMonkey to replay Uniden record files (HP1 or SDS100) for UID identification.

Still trying to figure out what "Tasts and Extras" file(s) to send you.
It is definitely not a channel name. It also is not logging another agencies NAC of N-1 or $1

First go to the General Options and click on the option Scanner Data To "Scanner Data.txt" File. Second - After the NAC is received and shown on the display, go to the application folder and find the file "Scanner Data.txt" so you can send it to me. In the Test & Extra tab, click the File Explorer tab to get to the application folder easier.

OK got it.
Now I guess I'll have to wait until the frequency(s) are active. Considering it is a holiday weekend it may take a few days

I want ProScan to act like it is hearing live traffic when I use the Replay function on the 536. If I go to a new area and set up a list of frequencies to search and record creating hundreds of files, I could eliminate much of the hours of recordings by looking at a ProScan log after running the recordings through the scanner into the computer.

Does the Proscan client accept command line switches? I'm running two instances pointing at 2 different scanners. I'd like to set up icons to launch the clients with different ip port address's. Am I able to do that with the proscan client?

Thanks,

Roveer

Not sure, but AFAIK, no way to read those in PS.

As I mentioned, Media Monkey (free) is great for analysing 536 recordings. It has a learning curve, but once learned there is nothing better.

Negative.

Yes, Run each instance in its own folder so they will have separate config and therefore seperate server IP addresses and ports. Have the icons or shortcuts point to the seperate folders exe file.

Worked like a charm. Thanks.

I D/L 14.2 today at work and no longer have view of the channels broadcasting and lost control of my scanner remotely.

What do you mean by "remotely"? Web Server, RSOIP, serial connection, other? What have you done to troubleshoot this? Could it be a antivirus or Internet Security program blocking the connection?

I have had this happen, just now, as a matter of fact. I am running my second copy on another computer on my network, RSOIP. BCD536HP. I have clicked hold and avoid sequentially on the remote copy. The transmitted audio continues, but the display freezes up and scanner button presses no longer seem to have any effect. It has happened a few times before. Trying different things, the solution ends up as: stop and start the serving RSOIP, then restart the client RSOIP. I haven't mentioned it before because I figured it was my fault for dropping instructional packets on top of each other.

Edit: After starting a copy of the ProScan Client on a third computer, to see if the server side was kronked, looking back at the copy on the original remote, all was again well. Duh, now I really don't know what just happened.

I have recently had ProScan start frequently locking up completely, requiring Task Manager to get it shut down so I can relaunch it. Most of the time when this happens, the "display" on ProScan is blank, i.e. the scanner is not being displayed on-screen.

I recently (2 months ago) installed software vital to my job - Citrix Receiver - so I can't confirm if this is coincidental to that, or if something in an upgrade to Windows 10 (or a recent Uniden firmware update? - wild guesses) has started causing problems.

I've had simular issues for a while now. It seems to be a timing issue when RSOIP auto start is enabled on clients. At times it locks up the server too. The work around I use is disable auto start on the clients and start manually, which is a pain.

C-CH Format

Is there a place that the information in the C-CH Output Field is defined? I have been searching Radio Reference and more broadly without success. So far, I am very pleased with ProScan V14.2 Thanks for the great software.

Yes, being it's a scanner funcion, it located in the scanner manual. See the section "Control Channel Data Stream Output".
