Is there a guide anywhere for a newb of at least upper tier idiot qualifications to help setup Proscan to be able to monitor my SDS100 over the internet on my phone? Im looking but scratching head. Source client, Web Server, Remote scanner over IP??? All? Some? None of these? :)
To view your scanner on your smart phone, you would only use the webserver function of the main Proscan program.

Check the Proscan user's manual for setup instructions...

Thanks, I had used the search on the PDF and it must have burped. It showed me like three instances of the term Web Server. Not much help on those showing. However I closed and reopened the manual an now it is accessing all 70 something pages with a wonderful section on Web Server. :)

A couple more guides on the ProScan site in the lower right corner.

42 if my count is right?
You need to recalculate and remove the unsupported Uniden as well as the ones not made by Uniden!
That's if you are only counting those being used by ProScan of course.
I came up with 26 like stated that run or can run under ProScan if my count is good.

I counted them all(I think). Because, I didn't know which. Were unsupported, by Uniden.

Perhaps if "Upload/Download" were replaced with "Transfer", it would more make more obvious the dependence on "to/from" to indicate direction. I've long found upload/download to be terms loaded with confusion because they imply a hierarchical relationship that's often not at all obvious.

I like the way some other radio manfs have read radio write radio.

I am considering the purchase of an SDS100 and the ProScan software. Is it possible with the ProScan software to monitor a P25 trunking system for undocumented talk groups only, recording these talk groups and a hit counter for each new talk group found?

I guess when you mean "undocumented", the channels are not in the scanner Favorites List. If that's the case then yes. Put the system in ID Search mode. That way when ProScan logs a TGID that's not in the scanner Favorites in the same system, the History Log text tag column will show the system name along with "Unknown"(for channel text tag) and the TGID. The Hits column will increment.
The History Log could be sorted so all the unknowns are together on the same system.

If you mean "Recording" as in audio recording then put the Custom Formatter %C in the Custom Filename Format box. That way you can tell the undocumented TGID's are without text tags, just the TGID #.

That's exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks!

Using ProScan and an SDS200 is it possible to monitor for a specific radio ID (Unit ID) or a radio ID range such as 8900000 through 8999999 and also create an audio recording of each transmission? If so, can all other radio IDs be ignored?

You could do this by creating all of the 89xxxxx UID's in excel and importing them into the UID file. Once imported you could toggle the record button at the far right. Also need to change the setting on the record screen to only record checked items (can't remember the exact name of it at the moment).

The scanner has been ordered, and I will try your suggestion when it arrives.
Thanks!

I'm working on the problem and making improvements. I'll have another test file ready today or tomorrow. I'm going back to the policy of working on bugs (and suggestions) via email.
