Do you have a UID field on your display? I can't remember what the default layout is or if that field needs to be enabled for ProScan to log it (I'll let Bob chime in on that).

I don't believe that the Trunked Discovery display can be modified.

You know what, I was thinking he was calling "ID Searching" Discovery & forgot there is a Trunking Discovery mode. I only played with that a bit at first & forgot about it... Sorry about that guys. I'll go back to monitor mode :)

I am using the SDS200 and ProScan in Discovery mode. The "History Logging" and "Recorder" tabs in ProScan have rows of data; however, the "UID Logging" tab has no data displayed. Am I missing a setting to log the UIDs while in Discovery mode?
Thanks!
I will run some test and get back with you. It will be about 3 or 4 days.

@ProScan Hi! i am the developer of Universal Scanner Audio Player (Universal Scanner Audio Player)
I'd like to discuss with you possibility to add some additional info in mp3 files. And adding ProScan mp3 files to the supported file types of the Universal Scanner Audio Player.
I think it will add conveniences to your customers to search and sort recorded audio files.
PS I've been approached several of ProScan users with this request.

I have searched and searched, but I can't find the answer. I know it has been answered. But....
When I set my SDS200 up the way I want with the Favorites set, the Systems set, the Departments set, etc, how do I save this in ProScan? It seems when after I do an edit and a download, it's not the way I had it. Do I need to do a read from the scanner before I modify the settings? Is there anywhere in ProScan that shows the state of the Favorites, Systems, etc that they will be upon a write to the scanner?

If you don't believe how hard this answer is to find, try searching "Favorites" in the Scanning Software forum....

Thanks!

After you make changes in the Favorites Editor, you want to do a Scanner Write (or FTP Scanner Write). Not a Read.

I looked at this. It doesn't appear possible to log the UID. The UID doesn't appear in the received data from the scanner (protocol) nor on the display.

If you're running ProScan, there's little reason to use discovery mode. Just hold on the system in ID search mode, and log and record. If needed, avoid known talkgroups. You'll get more and better data than by using discovery mode.

Thanks for the information, Jon. I will give it a try.

I checked the History Log today and found this. I Assume the CC15/CAP entries are erroneous. Does this indicated that this is an Idas trunked system, since no RAN Code was logged? Could it be a single channel Idas or could there be other frequencies, but I simply didn't catch them active? It looks like just Talkgroup 172 was in use by Unit IDs 17001, 17002 and 17009. That is must be a very quiet system.
