ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Audio cutting off in beginning version 5.0

I upgraded to version 5.0 and have noticed that when I play back the recordings, it seems the first .5 seconds is garbled/unreadable. Never had this problem before until now. I run proscan on two different computers and same problem on both.

Thanks

What are all the recording options on one of the computers so I can try to duplicate problem?

Options - Recording ?
Recorder Tab ?
Audio Control - Recorder ?

Where to purchase?

Does anybody know a website besides Proscan.org where I can buy the software at a discounted rate maybe? for example on the ScannerMaster website u can find Uniden scanners cheaper than the actual Uniden website... I just don't have $50, I just spent a couple hundred buying my new BCT-15X yesterday... Or maybe somewhere I can find a discount code or something where I can save a little bit of $$? Any help would be appreciated and thank you! What would really help tho is if someone bought my RadioShack scanner I'm selling then I'd have the $ for Proscan LOL

How many times did you post this question?

I notice you posted this multiple times, just changing the name of the "software" you wanted to purchase.
Some one already suggested not to use BOLD and caps in your post.
It has also been suggested that FreeScan is an alternative for some one who doesn't want to actually pay authors for their work.
Personally, I hae ARC-XT pro and ProScan and use both at the same time because they have different features, strengths and weakness.
Since , other than getting it 'cheap', you don't specifiy what features you require, it is hard to make a rational sugestion.

I changed the software name since I can't post about Proscan in an ARC-XT thread, hence why I changed the names, in hopes to get as many different answers about each one as I can, not sure why you had to point out all of those things to me in the first place, I hope you weren't trying to scold me or something... My purpose isn't because I don't want to pay for author's work, I already have ARC300 from BuTel that I paid for 6 months ago so it's not that I'm tryin to "leech", if you noticed I didn't say I wanted to get the programs for free but I do know some websites have coupons or redeemable gift discount codes, so I still would be paying for the product... I've been scanning for 17 years now and have spent alot of money on software and radios and etc plus I provide a feed on here for free that sometimes comes outta my pocket to keep up, which I get nothing in return for, so yes sometimes we all need a little extra help, you included... Hope I cleared things up a little... :)

Just be sure to protect your key hence activation if you buy Proscan. It is good software, but I upgrade hardware & re-install windows fairly often and he no longer activates it for me. There is a way to deactivate before you reinstall if your system doesn't crash. Good luck with whatever you do. I understand your funds situation all too well.

Just to clear up BO info. An activation is not lost from re-installing Windows. Changing hardware is based on a scoring system. Changing some hardware will not lose an activation, changing a lot of hardware will. Before changing hardware, it's recommended to remove the activation first.
I'm easy to work with on any activation issues. All it takes is an email as a few have emailed me on activation issues out of the ten's of thousands customers.

You've described hundreds, if not thousands of folks here on RR. It's an expensive hobby.

I just hope you warn others about being cutoff so quick unlike you did me. You was always so good to update my keys before you cut my balls out all of a sudden. I'm truly not putting you or your software down. I'm merely suggesting others to be more careful than I was.

You've made your point and it's been addressed. Let it go man

I will when I'M ready. It was MY money I spent and NOT yours! Thanks anyway.

Let's make sure we understand each other here. I'm telling you (read: not giving you an option) to drop it and take it offline with the software author. He's addressed it in public here in the forums and you have decided to post it in your signature. There is no need for you to keep posting it every time someone has a question about the software, which has nothing to do with your issue.

A couple of things with logging I have seen. First, I am getting some incorrect UIDs in the file names. Example: Two users talking, i10519 and i30670 on TGID 32816.
When the Recording file is saved, it says
01-24-12 17-08-12 - 32816 - 32816 - 1108.wav

The logging line shows the correct UID though (some info removed):
32816 85x.xxxx 10519 00:00:02 01/24/12 17:08:12

Same time/date, two different UIDs

Now the strange thing is that the 1108 UID was active on a different TGID about 5 minutes earlier but never used TGID 32816 and was not active when the recording started or stopped. This is based on looking at the logs on TRUNK88 for this call.

Second issue is when I assign an alias to a specific UID within a single channel trunked system (by creating a TGID). Once that is done, the UID will no longer be displayed under the Logging tab.

I have seen that before. Other users have reported that the scanner sends the UID from a previous transmission. What ever is reported from the scanner, ProScan will log. Check on the test tab - answer back data and see if the UID shows incorrectly.

Unfortunately, if I am staring at the test tab, I cannot see if the Logging or Recording screen match. It was only in trying to figure out an odd radio that it was noticed.
Perhaps it is related to having slightly less than perfect signal on occasion (4 bars vs 5 bars)

Still looking for any input on the second item. Thanks in advance.
