That's what I need. No tones in the data. The screenshot is a big help. Doesn't the scanner need to be in FTO standby?
{EDIT} I think you're scanning 154.0250 and that won't log to the FTO grid. The scanner needs to be in FTO Standby.
FTO Tones A & B are different then CTCSS tones.

.

Doesn't FTO standby only scan known/programmed tones? Maybe not. I was thinking that was the limitation there and the point of tone out in ProScan. I may be mistaken. I'll set A and B to 0.0Hz and see what happens after it runs a while.

EDIT: The linked article shows that ARC-XT Pro will detect and decode...may have the same limits as ProScan but I may try it as I do have that Butel software, too.

Couldn't find it in ARC-XT. Going to use ComTekk's multi-decode app and go that route. Could be I was thinking this would do something that it doesn't. No worries.

That should work. Per the Easier to Read manual. "To search for tones, leave the tones for A and B at 0. "

It's not a software limitation. Tones A and B are only detected and displayed when the scanner is in Tone-Out Standby.

That may work but don't you need the scanner holding on to a channel? If it's scanning or on another channel then you will miss the FTO. Might as well put the scanner in FTO mode so the tones can be logged.

I have it scanning only two frequencies so it should hit OK. Been running TwoToneDetect like this for over a year and it works 99.5% of the time. Always a chance it misses one but it isn’t mission critical (just for hobby) so no worries.

One last question. In ARC536, there is a handy Quick Key Manager grid. That makes it very easy to keep from duplicating Quick Keys at the System and Department Level. Is there anything like that in ProScan?

Not a deal breaker as I'm going to buy ProScan for all of the other features and I already have ARC536 so I can still use that to organize Quick Keys.

Another tab that I somehow missed. It's not identical, but it will do what I need.

Thanks.

@ProScan Good morning Bob. Setting up a new SDS200, the IP auto-detect feature didn't work on Windows 11. Firewall is disabled and no additional AV installed. I set it up manually without issue, but curious if this feature has somehow broken in Win11. I also tried running as admin, but no luck.

EDIT: clarified that I'm referring to IP auto-detect

Did you put the scanner in serial port mode (press ".") after connecting the USB cable? No issues controlling my SDS100 on Windows 11 & latest version of Proscan (20.1 as of this posting)

Can you see the scanner for remote control?
Works fine manually. URL (i.e. IP) auto-detect is the feature that didn't find anything.

I'm speaking of IP auto-detect.

Here's a (potentially) dumb question that I hadn't thought of, until I started using SDRTrunk recently. With SDRTrunk, you only need to put in the control channels and alternates to receive.

I noticed ProScan offers this option too. If I only import the control/alternates into an SDS, is it intelligent enough to move to a voice frequency? If so, I've been doing this wrong from the start.

For Motorola trunking yes. Just put in the control channels. For DMR, LTR, and NXDN, you need to put in all the frequencies and the channel numbers as well. Same for EDACS systems, if there are any in your area.

For P25 Motorola systems, control channel only. For Harris P25 in theory any frequency can be the control channel, so you should enter all of the frequencies.

And in the RR database they have stopped differentiating between CC and alternate CC...they're all just listed as CC capable now. So import all CCs and you should be good (Moto P25).

Thank you both. It seems to have helped my scan speed. Guessing the actual control channel was near the end of the list. Why were alternates converted to control channels? Easier to manage?

I asked this in a separate thread but realize in may belong here. I am trying to update some GPS coordinates using the maps but when I click on "Update Node", nothing happens. If I close out and reopen the same group I am trying to update no change is made. I also notice that the X button in the top right is all grey. I am running the latest version on windows 10.

It works here on Win 11. I'll wait and see if anyone else runs into this problem.
