I can't duplicate the problem. I wait and see if any others are experiencing problems in this area.
{edit} Can you determine if the problem is on the record side or playback side by doing this. Click the File Explorer button (located far right in the UID Recorder grid) then in the File Explorer window, try to playback the file. If it doesn't playback then the problem is on the record side. If it does playback then the problem is on the playback side.

Yes. Depends on what scanner you have how this is accomplished.
I had done that and the file will not play via ProScan interface or via file explorer. Also, I moved a couple of the files to a Windows 11 computer to test and nothing works there either. I also tried multiple players with no luck (WIndows Media Player, Media Player, and VLC media player.

Assuming you are using LAN connection for audio, then there is an option in ProScan to control what ProScan mute button does. If you are using audio patch cables for audio, there will not be any audio from scanner speaker.
It seems dark mode has made this ever so buggy. I can't see sliders or text half the time. I think this still needs some tweaking before being official.
Also, I'm having trouble getting working audio for RSOIP, my issue is it shows audio playing but I can't hear it at all.

It may seem unnecessary, but...if you haven't, I would suggest a computer reboot and test again just to be sure. I've seen things happen like that and a reboot clear them up. If it's still an issue then Bob will probably want to know the specific version of Windows you're on, etc.
I just did the update and have lost the ability to simply log UID's. Not everyone uses, or has the ability to set up audio recording via URL, or other means. This is very disappointing since I don't see a way to work around it. I do like this version for the one scanner that is connected via WiFi, but for the others, it's totally useless to me. I would like to go back to the previous version for the other instances, but I no longer have a copy of the install file.
UID's are logged on "history logging" tab.
I am very well aware of that, but it is not even close to usable for me since UID's have never been able to be edited from that tab on any version that I'm aware of. One of the main reasons I purchased the software was because of the ability to log, edit, and import them to the database. With this new version, that ability is lost for those who are connected via USB.
Guess you should save old versions. I am pretty sure Bob can send you a link to a previous version.
Thanks for adding active row on top & dark mode ... so much easier on the eyes.

I usually do, but I ended up cleaning up the downloads folder. Fortunately, the Wayback Machine came in handy. I am now running both versions. Like I said before, I do like the new version, but still need to use the older one for the USB only connected scanners in order to log and edit UID's.
Leveraging the question, I see the record indication for UIDs being recorded but when I hit play I hear nothing out of the computer. What am I missing?
It's fixed. It will be in the next release. For a workaround, choose the mp3 format and not wav.

I don't notice any loss of functionality in UID logging, and the ability to edit and update the database, etc. I do have audio being recorded and it sounds like you don't, so this is the only point for which I don't have a direct comparison.
