Sorry if this was already mentioned, I could have sworn that the Test & Extras tab used to show the signal level next to the frequency, but I don’t see it anymore. Did something change? Using a 996P2.

All that data comes from the scanner. Nothing is filtered out so maybe something on Uniden side.

Folks, try this version. 23.0.1
  • Fixed - UID Recorder wasn't recording audio when using the WAV file format.
  • Fixed - Recorders - A new recording would stop a recording that was being played back.
Unzip and copy the 2 files over the originals. Stop ProScan 1st.

Also, the Dark Mode colors were tweaked a bit. Let me know how it looks.

If there are no issues then I'll make a setup file, in about a week, then I will start work on the UID Recorder to make it log without recording.

I'm seeing a strange issue on a 1 channel DMR system where the frequency and TGID are the same but each department uses a different slot. Both history and the recorder continue to overwrite the line entries with whichever one keyed up most recently. Each of these is assigned to a unique channel with the TDMA slot defined and while either one is in use, the frequency in history logging or recording shows the correct frequency/slot (e.g. 462.95000/2), but as soon as the carrier drops, the entry shows just the frequency and the channel and department update to the last user group to key up. You would expect group one to have one entry Dept 1, Channel 1 (462.95000/1) and group 2 to have another entry Dept 2, Channel 1 (462.95000/2), with the department and channel showing each respective user group.

I have the same issues, even with diff freqs and color codes, only the TG the same. I have reported it.

It's been awhile since I have monitored DMR. I kind of remember that the slot # was intermittent. Does the slot # stay constant for each department? If you feel it's a ProScan problem, send me a Bug Report. I have a few items ahead of this one so it may take a few weeks before I can get to it.

Thanks, Bob - yes, the slot is consistent, as that is what defines the "channel" for either group. This isn't urgent, but wanted to get it on the board. I'll open the bug report.

HI All:
I am running ProScan 23_01, on a Dell I7 Laptop. I am having problems with the Recorder. It worked for 10 hours, now I get the error message "UNABLE TO OPEN INPUT SOUND DEVICE, THE DEVICE IS NOT ENABLED OR IS NOT PLUGGED IN". My SDRuno sound works perfectly as do other programs that use sound. I made no changes to the system. I did copy the 23_01.exe and proScan1.dll file. It did work after that. I am at a loss. I know it is a ME problem not a program problem. I need to find a fix.

Is the audio cable still plugged in? I know you advised "My SDRuno sound works perfectly as do other programs that use sound"
but check anyways.
Go to the Win Mixer and verify the input using shows enabled. It may take a disable and reenable.
Also check your Windows Microphone Privacy settings even if using line in.
Also check the Audio Control tab in ProScan to make sure the input didn't change.

{edit} Do a a computer reboot if all else fails.

HI BOB:

The Microphone was the answer.
Is there a way to shut off the Microphone on the laptop and still have it record? I have tape over it, but the system still reacts to it.

Is there a menu option that will toggle Dark Mode on or off on the fly without the need to restart ProScan?
This is using the test 23.0.1 version of ProScan.. I know 23.0 had a Test Dark Mode menu item but that is gone in 23.0.1.

It would be handy to have a Dark Mode toggle maybe under the View menu so one does not need to restart ProScan each time they want to try Dark Mode.
As it is now, one must select to start ProScan in Dark or standard mode from the Options/Startup menus and then restart ProScan to make the change.
