ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Good morning, @ProScan and folks reading the forum...

Three very quick questions before I purchase a license, to make sure I am conforming...

I currently have an SDS200 streaming via Ethernet with your free version, and also want to hook up my BCD436HP to scan as a 2nd stream via USB. My questions are:

1) For the BCD436HP, will I be able to change the scan list, and other options hooked up via USB like I will be able to with the paid version of Proscan for the SDS200 via Ethernet like go in the config, enable PRI, etc. etc.?

2) Will my purchased license allow me to run two separate copies of the software on the same PC?

3) This I noticed with the free trial and free versions... When I am streaming and listening to my feed when away from home, I notice that transmissions will happen a couple seconds before the metadata updates on the scanner app to show who is talking, etc. Is that a timing option that can be fixed in the software, or is that the streaming app itself?

Thanks!

The BCD436HP doesn't stream audio out of the USB. You will need an audio cable. Run two instances of ProScan in separate folders

Yes, The free 30 day demo/trial is exactly the same functionality as the paid version.

2) Will my purchased license allow me to run two separate copies of the software on the same PC?
Yes, each license allows activation on two computers. You can run 10 instances on one computer and that is 1/2 the license.

The audio and metadata are leaving ProScan in real time. Nothing can be done on the ProScan side. Sure, I can add a compensation but that would break it for other apps. If you're using a media player on the remote side, you may want to check if there's a network buffer option that can be reduced in size to lower the latency. You may want to use the built in player(that's on the webpage) as the latency should be about a second or less.

Thank you! I wasn't aware it didn't stream out of the USB port, so I will make sure to add both USB and Audio cable to the 2nd feed.

I figured this was the case. When I am out and about, I use one of the scanning apps from the Google Store that supports Metadata. I figured it was just the delay between the send <-> receive of the data.

Thank you! I went ahead and just purchased the license for the software to help support.

No changes in that area.
Are you trying to get ProScan to communicate with the scanner or is that working and you are trying to download data from the scanner?
