I was at Great Falls NP and heard something that wasn't commercial so I got my scanner turned on real quick. It was the DC guys on the way into ADW. I saw the three pairs of jets. One pair said to switch to an AUX, might've been AUX1 or AUX2 with the freq being 261.25. That one was new for me. Anyone else heard them using 261.25 before?
Freq

I've not heard the 121st FS use 261.25.

The incoming tanker is using 127.700 and now 133.125 in the climb to the CAP altitude. They are too busy to add to the feed (we would not here anything else)

Last couple months seen many French and RAF A330 types out of Ft Hood.
A lot of these A330 types are more pax type then tankers.. Must be joint training going
on down there at the Hood.

Not to be off-topic but I'm getting hits on 259.9000 I have this as Otis AFB TAC but feel ir's a bit out of my range

That frequency was active yesterday since the F15s were active in the CAP. It is part of the scan for my feed and has not been active today (as monitored from PA site). I just plugged it into a scanner here at NJ site and am monitoring.

Terry, what would be the corresponding d/l frequency ?

Jack

263.925 as N1GAW has posted by showing the link in RR. I have confirmed that when the uplink is active with encrypted comms from the fighters - you can hear the downlink on 263.925 as well. Unfortunately, nothing in the clear.

Wonder if first NOBLE's today 1 and 2 used Satcom for A/A as well.. Quietest pair of fighters I ever heard.
Occasional tanker boom coms 247.050 but that was it for most part.

1615 local NOBLE-12 off to refuel on 260.900 and Tanker boom 247.050 in the clear also A/A 373.825 chatting.
Notice fighters fly CAP clockwise in opposite direction of tankers then make turn to join tanker.
1618 NOBLE 11 says "now pushing CONR-2" from 260.900 but I got some enc Coms on 297.525.
1620 NOBLE-11 says back in the clear on 260.900,asks NOBLE-12 if he got Satcom messages on CONR-2.. affirmative reply.
Maybe Wiki needs editing :)

1634 local NOBLE-11 tells tanker we are maxed out at 2200z to be replaced by NOBLE-21 who had maint issues at Savannah.
I guess NOBLE-21 guys are running late.. NOBLE-11 has had the CAP a long time today.

Twitter message say GOLD-71-81 dragged some Yuma F-35's to Beaufort or Cherry Point yesterday?
A GOLD-72,82 went to Goose Bay to stage early today as well.. Maybe Monday Altrav coming up.
McGuire had flight this morning scheduled for Cherry Point but C-17 left Cherry Point and went West as RCH135 04-4137.

MAZDA 21-25 and MAZDA 31-35 arrived at Beaufort yesterday from Yuma.
VMA-211 F-35s that should be departing to the UK tomorrow.

Soundclip of the tankers with ABQ center: GOLD 71 + 81

The SATCOM channel is CONR-3 (unless DOD changed their designation within the past few years)

I need to dig up the DOD document for the channel names.

Rgr René a Big Thanks for details but one small detail now known as VMFA-211..
Same 10 guys who went to RAF Marham last year.. Promised they would be back.
Imagine UK F-35B fans will be out to welcome them :)
That F-35 like the F-16 kind of thrifty on the fuel so don't need so many tankers to get them around.
