Before UPMan passed away I always thought we would see the Uniden line like this.
996p2 325p2 as entry level scanners (as stated by Paul almost out of Firmware Memory)
536 436 as mid level scanners (nothing said about Firmware memory)
SDS200 SDS100 High end scanners (more to come)
The P2 line are workhorses if you do not need statewide trunking systems LARGE TG numbers.
The x36 line scanners are still workhorse scanners used in the environment they were designed to work in.
The SDS line if used properly filters ect are real workhorses.

Don't forget the "copper tape in the battery compartment" for the 436hp which was needed to improve 460Mhz. reception. I didn't believe it, until I tried it.
I do remember that, if I remember correctly that was a problem that was fixed in production without anything being said. They just went ahead and corrected it and repaired units that had the problem.
