Yup. A few of us have already identified this bug. Hopefully it gets addressed in another update.Another issue I am noticing only after 1.17.00 and it is constant:
For any talkgroup or radio ID that is set to sound a customized alert tone on the 436 when it has activity, the playback will be completely choppy and inaudible.
Button presses while on digital system are non-responsive. I have to HOLD the volume button down for changes to take effect.
Turn on Display Unit ID in the scanner's display settings, and essentially it should just start working, as long as the system you're listening to has aliases programmed.can someone tell me how to get Alias to work on a nexedge system with the new update
Sure you can.
I can hold on all 3.
System
Dept./Site
Channel/Mod

When you place a Site hold on a P25 system, you cannot place a Department hold until you remove the Site hold. All prior firmware versions allow setting Site and Department holds simultaneously.
It appeared to need a LAN connection set then I could change it to the AP Mode

Oddly enough, you can place the Department hold, then the Site hold, and that works. Just not the other way around.
OK I gave up on LCN Finder for the jail system (CAP+ with RAS). Over a dozen transmissions heard on the system, and LCN Finder still 0/2. Here's the debug log:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!ApJIS-l4xqPtgvFD4-DtkwcY4Detuw
One interesting thing: In previous firmware versions, you were more likely to catch RAS traffic if programmed conventional than MotoTRBO Trunked. But in 1.17, the conventional channels picked up little or no traffic on the jail system, and the MotoTRBO system picked up pretty much the same traffic as DSD+.
On non-RAS CAP+, programming conventional or MotoTRBO picked up pretty much the same traffic (basically everything), with the conventional channel hanging on the rest channel data chirps and the MotoTRBO system showing talkgroup info.
Went and tested v1.17 on the same NXDN48 DFA system I had tested with earlier versions. I entered only the current Control Channel and then used LCN Finder. It immediately found the 1 channel and I hit enter. System then set to scan with no luck. Looking at the System, the LCN saved was 20693
There was a couple of "hits" but one was a radio ID rather than a TG (not a private call). The other was a previously seen TG but I had no activity on DSDPlus at the same time.
I made several debug logs. One of them caught the control channel change (log0603973).

Not sure if it is helpful but the LCN finder results from the 2 tries are different but there was 2 different CCs.
20693 = 464.66875 this trip - DSDPlus says LCN is 80
20012 = 462.25000 last trip - DSDPlus says LCN is 77
Also, to throw another wrench into the works, this system changes Control Channels daily so having only 1 channel programmed it will not work.
This is ESPN and shows Site 5. Perhaps folks in Austin Texas can give it a shot with WQWJ529 or WQUS741 if those are NXDN48 DFA
I forgot about the debug recording from the active voice channel, I will have to make another trip.

From UPMan in 1.16 thread:
For NXDN DFA, just set the control channel frequency and run LCN finder. No need to put in the voice channels. If it does not work well, please capture logs from the control channel and one voice channel in conventional mode.
These files should contain data regarding NXDN4800 Trunked System which stops on TG an then there is no audio
Also the lack of Alias showing up consistently.
