Not sure if this has been covered in the thread but when updated my 536 with the latest database and firmware I cant find any NXDN systems on my 536? Am I doing something wrong?

I think this has been requested before, but I couldn't find it after a quick search. Would it be possible for a future firmware update allow the backlight in the 436 to remain on while powering up, similar to the SDS100? Or does the hardware in the 436 not allow this?

I'm not able to replicate your issue. I'm monitoring Adams County PA (all LE ENC) and am seeing ENC on both timeslots, and all are muted.

What system are you having your issue with?

Can you record and post a debug log? This will help the firmware engineers find and fix the problem.

Noticed it with Las Vegas Metro PD, they recently encrypted their entire P25II TRS. I have most of the talkgroups locked out but undiscovered talkgroups popup from time to time. When they do, PT0 transmissions are muted but PT1 blasts through, pretty annoying. The next time it happens, I will get some video and post it.

Stopping on muted encryp while scanning/recording

During scanning my Federal freqs and having recording turned on, the 436 is stopping and recording muted encrypted freqs instead of skipping over them.

I seem to be having a issue where the 436 will display that there are 3 "hits" but Sentinel will only display one. This happens to be on a Phase II system too.

I know it's been awhile since the x36hp series received a firmware update, but this persistent problem is still around. When the SD card is anywhere from 25-35 % it will randomly reset itself. I've seen this as low as 12% at times and different firmwares haven't resolved it. I'm aware the CPU load is probably at it's max with all the features and upgrades offered, but it's still occurring. Today..I had it at 35% memory used, and the scanner has reset itself at least 6 times. The only solution is to remove all the recordings which frees up space. I know the SDS series is top priority now, but at some point maybe this can be addressed?

It came out in 2014. It’s now 4 years later. Safe to say this problem will never be fixed.

lol I have the same issue and everyone is blaming it on my sd cards even though this card is not even 3 weeks old... lol just saying.

And noone can replicate this problem... Well it sure does exist. my card had to use the famous "clear User Data"and downloaded the new database and lost my damn favorites.. months of uid programming down the drain.. the new sentinel doesnt import your favorites from the old unfortunately..

Mine imported too also it is your own fault for not backing up your system.
There are 3 programs that will program and save your x36 files Sentinel Proscan and ARC536.
Do you backup your PC or will that be the PC's fault? Do you backup your cell phone contacts or will that be the cell phones fault? You not planning is not the fault of Uniden as it has been posted here it is a SD card problem and both Uniden and Whistler are both having the same problem. I changed to a quality SD card and have not had a but 1 card failure in 3 536's and 2 436's 1 pro18 1 pro668 1 TRX1 and 1 TRX2.

Just had my "newer" 536 reset itself with 9% memory used (I have 2). When it booted back up, FL's that I had active earlier earlier came on. I only had 1 FL active at time of reset. The common denominator for both scanners is Record was active. For others that have seen this occur, were you also recording? I'm thinking that the record feature is drawing the most and the CPU is overloaded?

Both are using High endurance 32 gb SD cards, but I have seen this with Scan Disk SD cards too.

I think it's been mentioned too when this does get looked at, the P25 Phase 2 UID capture is at about 90%. Some are not being captured but usually the next key up it will be seen.

It has been known for years that recording on the x36 will cause card failures. Constant write/rewrite on any SD card will eventually cause failure. I see it on dash cams all the time. Once I stopped using record on my x36, the card issues were a non issue. I use proscan for recording and logging.

Always keep a backup! I have backup favorites via Sentinel, Proscan, Arc536, and since I use Excel to create my favorites, I have that backup too.
