Does that functionality have anything to do with Whistler scanner’s reported ability to lock-on to the strongest repeater of a multi-repeater site while mobile for you?

I don’t think a firmware update could add that capability unless it was supported by hardware.

I doubt it. I don't think such an ability is truly unique anyway.

On some conventional vhf nxdn frequencies, the scanner displays nx4 and then ids on the same tx. After the carrier drops out from this first tx, it stops decoding any other tx. Have to change system, change channel, or reboot and then this process starts over again. Seems like first tx locks up the decoding somehow. Happens the most when parked on the frequency.
