Hi there, the way I update the data on my scanner after I’ve installed the latest database update is by using this procedure below.I'm at that point as well BUT I figure when they fix the socket error down the road, then thats when I'll update the rest within EZ-Scan. FYI, the newest database as of yesterday is "881" not the two typo's referenced as 781. Yeah, I'll look forward to the 'Plug-N-Play' EZ-Scan down the road for sure...
.
Using the easy scan program do this:
1) Go to the file tab and in the drop-down list you’ll see “Open V scanner folder“, click on that.
In the list, select the V scanner folder that you want to update; Click on it to highlight it, and then click “select”, and it will open it up.
2.) On the row of tabs click on the “library import“ tab.
You can now select, preferred, by city, by county, by ZIP Code (I believe you could even just leave it as “select type”) and click on the button “update channels”
3.) On the “library import” page that opens, you can check off whichever checkboxes you want and then below that click on the “update channels” button. and now you can watch it go through updating, you can see what gets updated and what gets skipped.
Do this for every “V-Scanner Folder” you wish to update.
I know this is a pain, but that’s how I update mine using the easy scan program.
You can do the same-similar thing on the scanner by drilling down to open V-Card, and then scrolling to update objects and it’ll do it in the scanner. I may not have given you the exact instructions to do it on the scanner itself, but it’s kind of a similar process.
