Question for anyone in the know. Newton county is building sites on the EMS properties on the North end of the county near lake village and Southern end near brooke.

I seen on the wiki 2 new sites are coming for the IPSC, these sites seem weird they seem to be building 4 towers on each of the 2 sites. Possibly gonna be a simulcast system for Newton county. I wonder if the one site they have already will be part of this. Or if it will be 2 separate systems for each tower site. Anyone have any info. Thanks
If they have multiple towers for the cell, then its going to be simulcast. What is the FCC callsign again?
Time to invest in an SDS100/200. :)

Just heard that myself. That's the old Westfield PD Dispatch TG on the Safe-T system, threw me off a little when it popped up!
Looks like its officially repurposed,.. Wonder if the rest of the Hamilton County ones will follow suit?

I've never noticed this before until today. I am looking at the Fort Wayne site and am using DSDPlus Fastlane. I've noticed that different frequencies have drastically different signal strength within this site at least for me. Using FMP24 and it's blue lines indicating signal strength, I get the following for each frequency:

851.4500 - 6/7
851.9875 - 4/7
852.4375 - 6/7
852.4625 - 4/7
853.3875 - 3/7 (secondary CC)
853.4125 - 6/7 (CC)

These numbers are consistent regardless of the TG on at the time. I am getting almost constant errors/broken voice with anything 4/7 or lower. I have tried multiple antennas including a Remtronix REM-820S, a discone, and a Westell CS03-003-090 which is 14dBi. The numbers above are with the high gain yagi pointed directly at the site. I am using these antennas on a second floor and pointed out the window. So what gives? Are these low-strength frequencies associated with a directional antenna pointing away from me? Maybe this is a normal thing but I've never noticed nor have I had this issue with any other trunked system. What blows my mind is I'm only ~3mi away from the site according to the documented address and if, I'm not using almost full gain, it's unlistenable. Where might I be going wrong?

Maybe on the opposite side of the tower from ur location or more directional like antennas like u thought. That's just a guess, I'm sure other people in here know way more than I do but just a thought.

I have similar issues with ISP Dist. 52. I'm in Fishers with a Log-Periodical antenna pointed right at the tower & I get a LOT of signal discrepancies on the SDS200 (same thing happens with an 800MHz vertical) SDS100 does the same on the 800MHz antenna. I've just gotten used to it over the years.

Last few weeks, I have been seeing/hearing (E) 21723 here in Terre Haute.... How sure are we that this might be channel 4 and channel 4 should be 5? Showing only 99 ids from 5 different users

United States Govt InterOp

Various RIDs (DEA/USMS/ICE) testing on 2/7/25 2/11/25 & 2/12/25 and calling each "InterOp" channel by the names "Channel 1, Channel 2, Channel 3, Channel 4"

I noticed yesterday that DNR unit 220 was using a Steuben County radio ID as opposed to the usual 930XXXX. ID 7610403

I saw TG 10241 ENC used today from the IGC North tower.

I have seen this listed as being heard in a different county in 2021.
I'm guessing it's a federal agency. My 436 HP didn't display any radio ids.

General question on the following DNR talkgroups, noted as "ICO" or "Indiana Conservation Officers"

21149 DNR ICO DISPATCH
10189 DNR ICO HQ
10190 DNR ICO OPS 1
21150 DNR ICO OPS 2

Are these in general everyday use? Normally everything I've monitored are either on NORTH REGION or SOUTH REGION

Thanks in advance,

19-685

Most operations are on the regular DNR North/South Dispatch TG's. But the ICO TG's do get regular use.

Talkgroup active on West Lafayette tower past several days.

Anyone know if Purdue has consolidated dispatching statewide similar to IU has done?

Thanks in Advance,
