I could have one time in Florida I had a job offer from Motorola2 sites listed.
I got an idea for you go to work for Motorola and you will have 1st hand information.
...The KSP communication folks know all there is to know.
Is the new trunking system "connected" with the old system (as in what is going out on UHF going to TRS)?Here in west Ky Post 1 area yes it is simulcast the old UHF in the clear and the KSP Trunking Fulltime Encryption from my monitoring area.
I think it'll be a while before they get to the east part of the state. As you noted, the "A" channels are used very infrequently. The only time I'll hear traffic on 4A, 5A or 12A is when there is something significant occurring on the "B" channels. That's maybe once every couple of weeks.Does anyone know if KSP is still simulcasting with the upgrades for SERVS ongoing? Seems like I'm only hearing traffic on two or three of the 14B channels, and have yet to hear anything on any 14A channel but I know A stays very quiet typically. (It's also been a pain since my ingest is high profile and picking up Post 8 and Post 9 on channels for Post 14.. lol)
