am i still missing something the list doesn't populate after selecting country state?
also anyway to add a county drop down?

Same issue as Nick, nothing populates. I am a feed provider and RR says I have "Feed Provider - Premium" account. Checked user name and password and it is correct.

Well that is definitely not good, not sure why RR would send that expiration date. I will add a filter for unreasonable dates.

Has anyone used ScannerLive? If so, can you send me what you like/dislike? As I get closer to the 2.0 release, I want to make sure I have in a majority of the feature requests that a majority of everyone wants. Just from the forum posts, it looks like the only major item ScannerLive has that RadioLog doesn't is the "Scan" feature (mute other channels when a channel has audio). RadioLog 2.0 will have this, along with "Priority" channels, and it will be a free upgrade (as always).

Yes, I have used ScannerLive. At first I did not like it, but after I got used to it, it was better that having several winamps open.

Likes: you can mute each feed even though they are running. Then unmute when you need to after you listened to a specific feed. It is a good starter at the time. It only plays one active feed at a time and it can be also set for prioity, if one desires, so it over rides any other feeds that might become active.

Dislikes: I always had minor issues when I added a new feed, it would go in one place, then next time it would not show up. Depending on how many times one adds a feed, then changes to another feed and delete and re-add another feed, at least me, made it frustrating. Had to many times I had to wipe out every thing and start over from scratch, ( but some of that probably was just me )

I do think from what you are looking at, it would be a nice addition to what you have already provided for all of us. You already have done an excellent job providing Radio Log for us, have done an exceptional job on support, requests in a professional manner and given great feed back to us.

The fine tuning now, and new additions to help improve the program sound great and I for one can not wait to see after all is done, what the end result will be,

Once again, Thank You for the program and everything you have done for all of us. I sure do appreciate it and it makes my job easier.

Tested the update last night, and it's working great. My only suggestion would be to maybe have a check box, or automatically remember your location selections when searching for a feed.

Yes, I have used ScannerLive.

The best thing (in ScannerLive) is the ability to listen to an active feed only, while the others are muted or listen to all at once.

Having a priority option would also be nice.

Additional requests previously mentioned -

Better volume control, currently it goes in increments and the lowest increment before no volume is sometimes too loud for some feeds with over powering audio. It would be nice to see this controlled in 1% increments.

The ability to enable/disable feeds in Small Mode.

The ability to choose left and right audio (or both) on a Broadcastify feed. This would allow you to set up two separate windows for stereo feeds or just listen to one. I see that is now available for setting up a local scanner. Not sure if this would create havoc for other feeds in the program.

Possibly the ability to have the program time out the feeds after a user controlled time or never. I sometimes have the program running and forget to disable the feeds. Just trying to save some bandwidth when not in use.

Current Issues -

Still do not like the feed activity light (color change) dropping in and out with low volume or pauses in audio. I have noticed that some transmissions do not even activate.

In small screen mode the drop & drag mode is off by one feed. If you drop where you want, it ends up one before it. Not a big deal, sometimes have to just do it twice.

Joe, Thanks for listening to our comments and for all the great updates.

This may be a stupid question, but is it possible to have more than one program reading the alphatags/metadata from the scanner at the same time. I use radiofeed to stream my scanner feed with tags to the web, but i would also like this software to detect them and log them as well. Is this possible?

Interesting. The MDC capability could be useful at work. I might have to play a bit, then make a pitch to the powers that be.

If it's using the serial port (which it more than likely is), only 1 program at a time can read from it. However, the program does a decent job of reading alpha tags from feeds through broadcastify, so have you tried adding it that way?

Anyone having an issue of several feeds not connecting? Broadcastify shows they are online, but I can only connect to 8 feeds out of the 27 I have set up in the software. I disable the active ones, and the "disconnected" ones don't connect.
So, I disabled the active 8 feeds, closed the program then opened it again. Now I have 7 feeds running,- different feeds from before of course, but still not all that are marked active. I am running version 1.1.0.23
Thank You..

ejw ... Did you ever get this problem resolved? I'm having the same issue. Using version 1.1.0.27 with Windows8

ScanYak, The issue should be a lot better in the latest versions (1.1.0.35 and higher) but there is still a persistent issue. There have been several changes to make it better (different threading model in 1.1.0.25, reconnect improvements in 1.1.0.25) but it seems that the biggest issue has to do with the volume of network traffic on users network connections. Recent dump logs have shown a few other causes, which I have been working on fixing. The 1.1.0.28 release will include several more changes in this area that may help as well.

I have ScannerLive as well and the main reason I got it was the "Scan" aspect of hearing one feed at a time instead of potentially being flooded with all the feeds audio at once. But it is limited to the 10-feeds per page (bank, zone, etc). A couple more suggestions are below. I apologize if these were already mentioned.

Group/All Feeds Scan option. Group scan would allow one feeds audio per group while muting the other feeds in those groups. It would allow more than one audio on the system, but not all of them. All scan would limit the audio to a single feed systemwide (likely how it's being developed now?)

Add a button on the feeds Streaming Audio Editor to allow Enable/Disable of the feed in that screen. When the feeds are set to "small" there isn't a way to enable or disable a feed w/out making the feeds normal again to use the disable button.

Finally, thanks again for all the work on this. You have been doing a great job.

i like the scan feature idea being broken down to each group having a "priority" channel feature in each group. Also maybe a feature on each feed stream box in a group to have a select scan on/off feature to allow for how many streams the user wants to scan at a time. Like i mentioned before having a feature so only one feed is active at one time like jmarcel said below.

i haven't looked into the recording feature yet but i seen it was mentioned by someone before that the recording stops when there is "dead air" and only records when traffic is heard. Is the recording feature like that or does it record everything in a certain time block?

keep up the amazing work!
