New Streaming, Logging and Recording Software

Any chance on modifying the "new scanner" settings? I'm streaming several scanners now via ProScan, so the com port is already tied up on there. Is it possible to pull the scanner's current channel info off the Title Bar of ProScan's software? This should probably work for any piece of software that puts the meta data in the title window as well.

I've noticed that local audio still does not work. I need to listen to my scanners via the live stream to monitor them with the software.

I'm running 1.0.0.25.

I had another crash this morning with the latest version. Unfortunately the radiolog.txt file does not show anything but the initial running of the program this time. This is on a Windows 7 Pro SP1 32 bit Dell laptop.

I had the program running and was away from the laptop for about a half hour. Came back to find its fan whirring and blowing warm air out its vent. RadioLog had been minimized, and clicking on the icon in the tray did nothing. CPU was running constantly at about 59% with RadioLog consuming on average 56%. I had to end the task via task manager.

No idea why it occurred; only other programs running were Mozilla Thunderbird and Chrome browser. RadioLog was only playing one feed at the time of the crash.

Sorry I can't provide any more data this time.

I looked thru the other posts and don't remember seeing if any one else had this problem with the purchase activation.

After the trial period, I purchased the new key, which I received. It installed with out any problems and I was able to use the program again. Now today, when I tried to started the program, it showed the activation key, but it was the old trial key and not the new key.

I entered the the key and when I hit activate, the old key auto showed up. Apparently, once the program is closed, it does not save the new key, ( unless I did something wrong, which is hard to do when all I have to do is copy/paste the new key and hit activate )

At this time, the new key will not activate the program. I think thee is a bug that keeps from saving the purchase activation key.

Hi Joe,

Haven't heard from you since this post. I trust all is OK?

I have posted a minor update, full update coming tomorrow. This update now supports the tags in any Icecast compatible stream (i.e. Broadcastify). It also lists all the feeds in a vertically scrolling list to the left. Tomorrow's update will have the full new screen design, with feed re-ordering, and a ton of other features (file saving format, etc.). Also, with this update, the active source name (from the stream tags) is logged with any decoded signals.
I have been taking everyone's comments and think tomorrow's update will solve most if not all the issues/comments everyone has sent me. It is greatly appreciated.

On a side note, slots are filling up quick on the scanner giveaway, so anyone on the fence should act quickly.

Hello everyone, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I sort of took the weekend off. Been busy on the software though. There will be an update this evening. The biggest change has been to jump thru all the hoops of getting the digital certificate so the software can properly be signed. Several people have stated that they are not able to install and/or their settings/license has not been saved properly. This is directly related to the software being "un-trusted". After completing the process, which includes identity verification, background check, virus/malware check, etc. I am now able to resolve all these issues in one shot. I will post more details later today when the update is ready. Going forward I will be able to continue doing quick updates to solve issues or improve the software, but the software needs to go thru a screening process that ensures there is no malicious code in there before you get it. Once again, sorry for the delay and I'm confident you guys will be happy with the result.

On a side note, anyone that has had install issues or their license keys have not been saved, please do the following: Before installing this evening's update, uninstall any version you already have installed. Second, email me at support@responderapps.com and I will reset your activation count for your licenses so that you can get up and running quickly.

Unfortunately the newest version (1.1.0.2) blew out all of the feeds I had configured. Anyone else? That's a tad frustrating.

When you add broadcastify feeds do you want to add the URL of the feed or the URL of the feed when you open the streaming box? I added it both ways and no audio came through. Is there a start button on the program or just the "enable" button?

To add Broadcastify feeds do the following:

1. Change the "Player Selection" type to iTunes.
2. Right-click on the Play button in the listen column.
3. Select "copy link address" or the equivalent your browser shows (I use Chrome).
4. Paste the link into the "Streaming Audio URL" box in RadioLog.

Actually to make it even easier there is an option in the settings called "Enable Clipboard Integration". When you right click and "copy link address" a dialog box for a new source should automatically appear with the Streaming Audio URL field backfilled with the copied link.

I downloaded the latest Version: 1.1.0.2 this morning, when I went to try to install, it would not install and said to contact the vender.

I had no problem with installation / upgrades while in trial mode. Seemed to start when the issues trying to keep the paid activation key to get saved

Any idea of what is going on?

scancapecod: Sorry you lost your settings. Over the weekend I wrote a ton of automated tests, looks like I missed that one. I'll make sure settings are upgraded properly and checked in future releases.

There will be another release tonight. It has the new "grouping" and "arranging" support. I wasn't able to release it last night because I didn't want to rush thru testing it. In addition to automated testing that I implemented over the weekend, I have several machines running for over 24 ours now just to make sure everything is running properly. These machines all have multiple scanners connected and are each streaming 50+ feeds. One is even running 2 new integrations with third party apps... but more on that in a few days.

I wish there was an online manual to describe what the features do. I see in log all the time stamps being created but have no clue what those features do.

I am still having no luck with the recording function. Anyone have any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong.

I just get many small files with shorts bursts of audio.

Also, the activity indicator should have a delay so it does not drop out when there is a pause in the audio. Sometimes low audio transmissions do not even activate the indicator.

Again, great program sure beats loading many instances of winamp.
