kr0490, can you try adding a "Mult-Line" input instead of a microphone? Microphone only displays a entries that have just 1 channel of audio. If that does not work, can you update to the latest, run then send me the RadioLog.txt file in the c:\ProgramData\RadioLog folder (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\RadioLog under windows xp). Send the file to support@responderapps.com

I'm not sure what you mean. I click add new scanner, set the initial settings, then click the gear in the corner of the scanners box on the main page. There is a drop down box that says microphone, and it is blank. How do i do "multi-line"

Oh, that should not have been there (the microphone line). Once you have the scanner setup, without the microphone line, click on the "new source" button at the top of the screen. In that box, you can select either a "Microphone" or "Multi-Line In" Depending on your sound card, the "Microphone" may be disabled. Select your sound card, and if you are using a line in that has left and right, select which one (first item is left, second item is right). That should resolve your issue. I will work on an easier method to get scanners setup over the weekend.

On the page where you enter a source name the source types are greyed out except streaming audio. I have 2 sound cards, if that is causing issues. All inputs show up in windows sound panek abd work in other programs. Any way to extend my trial so I can confirm this will work before buying?

kr0490, can you send me the RadioLog.settings and RadioLog.txt files in the C:\ProgramData\RadioLog folder (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\RadioLog under windows xp) and I will dive deeper into the issue. Once it is solved, I will send you instructions to extend the license and I'll update the server to allow it.

I have posted a new update for everyone. This update fixes numerous issues, from layout problems in Windows XP to new line-in devices not being available. The automatic upload of error dumps can also be shut off.

Several people have reported that there is a problem with the new display on Windows XP machines. I have fixed this issue by removing the grouped feed display on Windows XP machines. Vista and higher will retain support, but XP will have the display from a few weeks ago.

From the dump logs submitted, I have noticed an issue in the licensing system. This issue has only been reported on Windows Vista machines and is an error in the microsoft installer. I have added code to this release that will detect this error and prompt the user to be taking to the microsoft knowledgebase article with directions on how to fix the issue.

I got it working now, sort of. I have the line in working now, but how do I associate the scanner with its metadata with the input. I'm confused as to how the two relate to each other. Also, my scanner keeps loggin in the program with ID Scan. I set my BCD996XT to display mode scanning and activated global unit ID's.

Here is a picture of what I am seeing, just ID Scan every second. I have turned on global unit ID and set my scanner to display mode 3.

kr0490,
If you look at the display on the scanner, can you tell me 2 things. 1) Is the line that is displayed in RadioLog visible on the screen? 2) Is the actual ID displayed on a different line? I think there may be some differences between different versions of firmware in the scanners. I will have an update either later tonight or tomorrow morning that allows you to select which line on the display to get the ID from. The update will also have the ability to associate a line-in device with the scanner.

Dont you have to set the metadata setting up in pro scan or something?

also switch to normal view in setting from fire ground view you will see alot more logging information or at least i did

Hello-
I really enjoy this software, Thanks for creating it. Please forgive me if some of these have been addressed already, but I have a few questions:

At one point, you mentioned a license is good for 3 computers. I tried to activate on a 2nd computer and it wouldn't accept it. Just wondering if the 3 computer license was a temporary thing, as your pricing/ordering web page shows only 1 license per user. Not a big deal, still worth the $20

If I want to remove the license/software from one computer and put it on another, will there be a way for the user to do that instead of bothering you with it? What happens if, say I install the software/ activate with the license on a work computer, and my work formats and reloads that computer? (this happened to me with Proscan)

I'd like to have the option of changing the color of feeds that are producing audio, as well as a means of setting a priority (I believe someone else mentioned that). The feeds broadcasting audio blend in with the background and its hard sometimes to tell what feed is making the audio.

Is there a way to decrease magnification of the software? It appears that it depends on screen resolution, and since I have about 50 feeds, I can't see anything below 30 on one monitor without scrolling down, and my other smaller monitor I can only see 12, so I am constantly scrolling up and down trying to find what feed is making chatter.

If I do have multiple licensed computers, what's the easiest way to duplicate the feeds I have so they are all the same? I was going to try taking the radiolog.settings file and adding/replacing it into the additional computers, but I don't have more then 1 license.

I think you've been doing a great job working out bugs and updating fixes. I understand it will take time to add more features, which I'm sure creates problems or limit what you can add with existing features.
But again Thanks for creating the software and your attention to people's questions/ problems/ suggestions.

Can anyone explain how you associate a scanner with an input in the program. Im not sure how the relationship works between an input and a scanner?

As mentioned previously by another poster, it would be nice to have some type of change log. No idea what has changed, as we have gone up a few versions in the last few days.

The volume slider is now working with the mouse, but it snaps to certain volume levels. It would be nice if it was linear throughout the range and adjustable with the mouse wheel.
